Gen X this is NOT the Easy Bake Oven you remember

This is most definitely NOT the easy bake oven you may have had (GenX crowd). I was so happy to let my 5 year old have the easy bake oven experience. I brought all the additional little mixes and everything to my extreme disappointment. Let's just say I followed the instructions to the letter, and NOT ONE recipe tasted decent. I didn't expect bakery perfection, but each recipe was giving scented play dough taste and texture. My 3-year-old wouldn't even eat it, and he's like Mikey he eats everything....

absurd safely designs

they're so safety conscious it's absurd. the cooking mechanism is entirely enclosed. there isn't a door like we had as kids. you have to push the tray through a tiny slot and its hard to see if the metal door inside is closed. plus it barely cooks. all our cook times have to be doubled. the only way to check is to use the silly push stick/spatula thing and it's just overall a lame experience. honestly, a toaster oven would be better than this silly contraption.

How do these instructions equal six pieces?

This is not a useful oven. cant clean, doesn't bake evenly, terribly difficult to put the pan in and take out. The time consumption of awful tasting recipes is overly priced. The whoopie pue recipe states to make ball cust in half and half again. That does not equal 6 cookies. If this was made for an eight year old, how are they supposed to follow incorrect instructions. Terribly overpriced plastic piece of junk and 8.00 for a recipe that gives you six pieces of awful tasting food. would not recommend it!

The Best Gift! 🍕🍩🎂🍪🥨

I feel like a successful mom with this gift! My daughter is 8 years old, and she loves cooking and is enjoying it very much. Super easy to use and quite safe if you use it correctly. It's just the first use and I hope it works well for you for a long time.

Disappointing

This is definitely not kid friendly. My granddaughter wanted it for her 5th birthday. The cookie mix was very hard for her to roll. I wouldn’t recommend the cookies to start with. We have not tried the cake mix yet. Be sure and spay the tiny pan, and I mean tiny.

Not the same

They are selling these with no mixes. It makes no sense to just sell the oven and nothing inside to cook in the oven. My daughter was heartbroken when we opened it and realized she couldn’t use it right away. I had one of these as a little girl and it definitely included starter mixes.

It is different than the easy bake oven I had as a kid, it has a lot of plastic now as opposed to all metal which makes it safer. I can recall several burns received on my hands and arms. However it was just as much fun for my granddaughter and I to bake in. I do not think 8 years is old enough to use this without supervision. A parent or guardian should be with any child under 10 who wishes to bake with the easy bake oven.

Got this as a Christmas present for my eight year-old granddaughter. She loves it! It's a good tool for teaching her to redirect. Got this as a Christmas present for my eight year-old granddaughter. She loves it! It’s a good tool for teaching her to read and follow directions.

Piece of Junk paid for a NEW oven got a USED oven!

It had been opened and returned - I saved it to give as a Birthday gift today and now it’s too late to return and it is a crappy oven! There are no directions and the slit in which you have to slide the food is so tiny, you can’t even really make anything unless you buy the ridiculously high food specifically made for this particular oven. Waste of $50! This is why I shop Amazon! They tell you when you are buying used items. Walmart sells used items as NEW!

Great purchase

The ECB Oven Toy is a delightful addition to any young chef’s playtime repertoire. Its realistic design and interactive features make it a captivating toy for imaginative cooking adventures. The oven door opens smoothly, allowing kids to place their play food inside and mimic the baking process. The compact size is perfect for small hands, promoting dexterity and coordination. One standout feature is the inclusion of light and sound effects, enhancing the play experience. As the oven “bakes,” it engages children with a playful simulation of cooking sounds and a warm light, adding a touch of realism to their make-believe kitchen.
