This crib mattress came in a nice compact box which made for easy transport. When you pull it out of the box you have to cut away the plastic packaging and then lay it flat on the floor. You then are instructed to take off the outer cover and slip on the fire barrier cover. This was very simple. Then you put the outer cover back on. After 48 hours it will fully expand and is ready for use. It's like magic. I am so impressed with this mattress. It is very soft and is the perfect amount of firmness. Most mattresses are too firm but this one is similar to a memory foam mattress. Its so nice that I wish I had one for myself!

I have twin beds right now for them but I have three grandkids so my granddaughter sleeps on the floor. I seen this Graco Premium Crib and Toddler Bed Mattress and thought how great would that be for my granddaughter. And I could easily store it under the twin bed when not in use, kind of like a trundle bed. I was wondering how thick and how nice a bed in a box was going to be. I must admit I was very impressed. It says wait 48 hours for it to completely conform to it shape. At first it wasn't that thick but when the time was up it is now five inches thick, very impressed! The mattress size is 28" x 51" x 5". It comes with a nice removable and washable mattress cover but I don't believe it is water proof so I would recommend getting a water proof mattress cover to protect the foam mattress. In their defense it states it has a water resistant inner lining. It is a memory like foam mattress. It is pretty firm but yet has a little give to it. It is comfortable. My granddaughter is so happy now because she now has her own bed when she come to stay with grandma. Very happy and would recommend.

This mattress comes in a box and then you lay it out to inflate. I have bought a spring mattress before and I am not a big fan. The one I bought before is also from Wal-Mart and has the plastic on the outside and owls, it has a big air pocket on it so my two year old jumps on it a lot, it's flimsy and very noisy. This one fits the crib nicely and isn't overly bouncy or noisy. Happy with this purchase.

We got this for our 1 year old because he had a stiff infant mattress, and he was still waking up at night. We opened it and let it sit out for a couple days. I squished it around a bit to help all the corners inflate. Inflated evenly. Happy to report my one year old FINALLY slept through the night and I thing the soft mattress had a lot to do with that. Definitely too soft for under one due to sids risk though.

a crib and this mattress were purchased for "grandmas's house" and even though it will get occasional use, I wanted a mattress that was a good value and a safe one. It is a breathable foam mattress and once assembled ( they say to let it sit for 48 hrs) it is sent compressed in a box. I am very pleased and the nursery is set for visits to nana. love the price too

I ordered this product offline and picked it up at my local Walmart. The package was very light and small enough to fit in my back seat. Only complaint I had when I got home was that it was very difficult to get the fire proof cover on; I almost ripped it. Once I finally got it on it was fine. You have to allow 48 hours for it to fully inflate. The mattress is soft but firm and is a perfect size.

LOVE this mattress! It took a little less then the 48 hours to completely Expand. I did rotate the mattress to help with the process. Once completely expanded I put all the covers back on. My daughter loves sleeping in her bed now! I even slept in the bed with her and slept like a baby!

Has good support, yet is very comfy for my 21 month old grandson. He falls asleep quickly and sleeps contentedly through the night. My one dislike is that it's not as thick as I'd hoped - more like 4 1/2", so crib sheets don't tend to stay smooth and tight, but since he's not a newborn it's not really too bad - just annoys me!

This mattress works well for my 10 month old grandson, expanded as it should and is soft and comfortable for him. I might not put a newborn on this because it is soft. No need to buy an additional cover, the mattress comes with a fire retardant one and an outside cover that was nicer than the additional one I got, so we are using the one that came with it.

This mattress is very reasonably priced. It is so soft to the touch, yet the right amount of firm. It’s not noisy or uncomfortable like many others I’ve seen in stores. With 18 months of use, I see no wear or tear. Just bought a second one for our new baby.
