I'd never heard of just a liquid to add in the rinse cycle to freshen them up, but this stuff is amazing. And most importantly, it is NOT an overwhelming "perfume-y" smell. It just nice and light and pleasant. The liquid is clear and thin, no goop or sticky to gum up the works. The only suggestion for improvement I have is cosmetic: the bottle has a screw off cap and a flat round rim. Would really appreciate it if they spouted the top a little for us clumsier people.

I like to use this when I put a load of laundry in that have my workout clothes mixed in. My clothes come out smelling fresh and clean. It's not a crazy strong scent either but light and subtle. I like that the liquid is clear so definitely no dyes in the formula ( huge plus).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Downy rinse and refresh Is great for those towels that have been washed multiple times but don’t smell fresh anymore. wash it with downy rinse and refresh and it leaves it smelling clean and amazing. it is really easy to use just add into the washing machine tub and wash as normal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use reusable diapers with our 4 month old son and we usually use vinegar to wash them then I got this stuff and adding a little to the washer does wonders. We still use a little vinegar but this stuff adds to it and helps more with the smell and on the plus side it helps clean the washer at the same time

downy rinse and refresh is the BEST thing you can add to your laundry. it smells so amazing and the scent truly lasts. I've recommended this product to my whole family!

I am happy with the product itself. Left my clothes nice-smelling and soft. But for someone like me with small, arthritic hands, the bottle is hard to grip and is slippery.
