[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I often had a problem, especially with bath towels and bedding, where over time they would start to smell a little sour, no matter how often I ran them through the laundry. I would try cleaning my machines, thinking that was the culprit, but alas, no luck. The sour smell remained. When I got this, I was hoping for a miracle, because my towels were one wash away from being thrown into the trash. This liquid rinse promised to rid of build up from water and detergent caused by repeated washing. If this couldn’t do the job, nothing could. To be honest though, I didn’t have high hopes. But I’ll admit I was pleasantly surprised once my towels had been sufficiently washed with this rinse. Normally, after doing a load of towels, I wouldn’t be able to detect the sour smell until I dried off with one after a shower. I like to reuse a towel a few times before I chuck it into the laundry bin again. The entire time my towel was in use, I never got even a whiff of sour smell!! This stuff seems to have done the trick. Who knew that residue and build up could cause such a problem? I’m a believer in this stuff, and would absolutely recommend this to anyone facing the same problems as I have with the laundry. Sometimes things just need a reset, and I feel like that is exactly what this rinse has done for my laundry! Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried the Downy Rinse and Refresh cool cotton fabric rinse on my clothes and I really liked it.i like that it was clear and had no dyes in it. It had a smell, but it wasn't crazy powerful. It was easy to use, just put into the fabric softener dispenser and go. It left my clothes smelling good, even the hubby's work nasties.

Just add to your rinse cycle and it leaves a clean and odor free load of laundry, how simple is that!? It took out even the toughest of that musty towel smell we all hate. Or the “I forgot that load in the machine” smell out completely! We all have those times unfortunately. It left a great scent that wasn’t overwhelming, just a clean, just washed smell for a long time. Great product!

I'm not a person to use too much chemicals in my laundry but it did not require much and left my clothes feeling clean, soft, and fresh.

I do not use fabric softener so I was super curious if this type of product truly does make a difference. I am impressed, as there was a noticeable difference in my clothes, and I am not talking about the smell of them. Easy to use with a subtle scent (that is one of the reasons why I choose not to use fabric softener - sometimes the scent on laundered clothing is overwhelming and clashes with whatever perfume or cologne someone is wearing). I am very surprised and happy with the outcome of using this product. Highly recommend.

I’m looking to have clean and soft clothes without the use of heavy perfumes and thick goopy fabric softener. I have finally found one that fits the bills! Smells clean without sickening perfumes. Makes my clothes soft. Very pleased!

Love the way our clothes feel and smell after switching to Downy Rinse and Refresh, but wish the bottle comes with a pour lid like pictured in the commercials. I transfer your product to an empty coffee creamer bottle so it can be poured without making a mess!
