LG 27CF SIDE BY SIDE REFRIGERATOR
So far, we like the LG 27cf side by side refrigerator. We miss a butter keeper and a shallow drawer we used for small items like cold cuts, cheese, taco shells etc. The refrigerator side is larger than the previous 25cf GE side by side we had. However, the freezer size is the same. Less door shelves because the ice maker is in the door. One thing we don't like is the light for the ice and water dispenser which is ridiculously low as to be non-existent. We never liked the GE ice maker because it would freeze up and the entire heavy drawer needed to be removed, and ice broke up manually. We have had the LG side by side refrigerator for 3 days and hope to like it better.

Overall a good refrigerator - after 1 week
I've had this refrigerator for exactly one week. It's beautiful and bright inside and offers plenty of room for food and drinks. I haven't noticed any loud noises except for occasional dropping of new ice cubes-and that doesn't last long. After having my own refrigerators in homes for over 50 years, I have 2 concerns: First, There is no humidifier drawer that allows me to adjust temperatures for fruits and vegetables. I put a fresh carrot in one of the drawers yesterday and it was shriveled by today. Disappointing. I haven't tried fruits or other vegetables yet, but I am concerned about how to keep those items fresh. I see in the online manual that owners are to store fruit or leafy vegetables in the original container "in the crisper." But only certain models have a controller to keep fruits and veggies fresh. I find this so disappointing, both that not all models have a controller and there is no way to realize this unless one reads the manual which is not readily available in the store - only online!! The second, less concerning difference, is there is no covered drawer for butter. I will be keeping mine in a covered dish but we are told to keep butter in a "closed compartment." LG does not offer this. Again, disappointing. I will be buying extra containers for more items than usual for this refrigerator. I was not expecting extra expenses. Overall, I think I'm going to enjoy this refrigerator, but having owned a variety of manufacturers' models, there are a couple important standard items that this one does not have.

Frustrating product
This product cools very unevenly, sometimes freezing and other times not cooling enough. Plus, while the space is large, it's very pool organized and there are almost no options to purchase accessories that might make it more functional. It was reasonably priced, but if I had the choice to make again, I would definitely choose a different product.

This was the worst appliance I have ever owned. If I could have returned the whole package I would have. I had to call repair 3 times just to get the Icemaker to work. I will never purchase another LG appliance again. Don't buy it. I give them a (F).

Terrible fridge. Started setting codes E 1F an hour after it arrived. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now ice code tray has contorted by itself.

This unit does not produce ice!
If you use ice at all, do not purchase this refrigerator/freezer. The ice dispenser is super small and never fills back up even after several days of not using any of the ice. I wish I had known this before we bought it because we need ice daily and are severly displeased with this refrigerator/freezer because of the lack of ice it does not produce.

Defective freezer
Freezer doesn't close seal tight resulting in condensation ice everywhere. I am hoping that this is just a defective unit.
