Excellent smart tv

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No problem here I had to get used to the remote but other than that sharp picture and sound ... I bought me also 55 Samsung TV too .. and Iove it ... I will continue to do Business with Samsung TV .. thanks again .. my next upgrade will be a 65 or 75 tv ..

Disappointed with new TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV was purchased for my elderly father, when his old TV quit working. The remote and operating system is not user friendly for a senior. It has taken much longer for him to learn to use the system. In hindsight I would have done much more research to find a senior friendly option for the tv and/or remote.

Great picture and sound but tough to program

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this TV in our bedroom and want to leave it on with low volume while we sleep. We have not been able to turn off the auto off function and we wake up as soon as it shuts itself off. There seems to be no way to set it to manual always on.

Gamalot, We’re sorry to hear your TV is turning off on its own. Please try the following troubleshooting steps which may help resolve the issue: 1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector for at least 30 seconds. 2. Inspect the power cord for any visible damage. If damaged, the cord may need to be replaced. 3. Plug the TV directly into a wall outlet, bypassing any power strip or surge protector for now. 4. If the TV remains on long enough, try updating the TV’s software: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now. Note: If your TV powers off during the update, it could result in damage, so only proceed if the TV is stable. Next, check the TV’s Power and Energy Saving settings to ensure no timers or auto-off features are enabled: • Sleep Timer: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Sleep Timer • Auto Power Off and Off Timer: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Auto Power Off/Off Timer Also, if you have devices connected via HDMI, check if Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is enabled, as this can allow external devices to control the TV and may cause it to turn off: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = Off If your TV continues to power off unexpectedly, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days a week. It works. It shows me moving pictures and makes noises that seem appropriate for the moving pictures I am watching. Happy now, you pests? I'll never buy one of your products again, clingy weasels.

Permanent captions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a longtime diehard Samsung fan so I was happy to be gifted this TV however from day one, there are captions/subtitles for every show. Annoying! I haven’t them switched off in the controls. I checked online and some recommended unplugging then plugging back in after a few minutes. No joy so this television is NEVER watched.

I’m switching all of my T.V’s to Samsung .

Hard to set up

However I really enjoy my new Samsung tv. I stream and watch a lot of movies and take advantage of the live tv that my tv has to offer . I have had it for a little over a month and I have had no issues at all . Thank you for such a wonderful product

Great picture quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the size and quality of this tv! The picture is super clear and sharp, setup was very easy and didn't take long. We love the smart TV functions and stream Disney+ and peacock easily. Sound quality is great we don't have any issues with it at all. We have a sound bar but don't really use it for daily shows and TV watching.

The difference is remarkable in terms of image quality, the way the menu is presented in general, and the configuration. The change is very noticeable. To be honest, I don't like this 7900 product very much; I prefer the version I had. It's more user-friendly and has better quality. After turning it on, I somehow felt I should upgrade to something better because I feel it doesn't meet my expectations.

The best bang for your buck.

Able to save it under my account for warranty then sign in with a new account for my sister in law to control it from her phone. She's extremely happy with it as a gift.
