[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to the 83” LG OLED, and so far it’s been impressive. The picture quality really delivers with deep blacks, immensely bright visuals, and sharp detail, especially in HDR. Soccer and Movies look fantastic at this size, and the ultra-thin profile gives it a premium feel on the wall. There are a few early drawbacks, though. WebOS still isn’t great—it’s functional, but not as streamlined or intuitive as the ROKU interface for example. I also had some difficulty getting it to play nicely with my Sonos sound system, which took more tinkering than expected. And while it mounts fairly close to the wall, it’s not as completely flush as something like The Frame TV. If you’re hoping to add a decorative frame, be aware there aren’t really off-market frame options available for a screen this size/model. All that said, these are early impressions. I’ve only had limited time with it, and I’m still testing different content, calibration settings, and integrations. Based on initial use, it’s a fantastic display and a big upgrade—just not a totally seamless ecosystem experience. I’ll update once I’ve spent more time with it.

The picture quality is just insane; perfect blacks, vivid colors, and a level of clarity that makes everything feel almost unreal. It feels like we've genuinely gotten to the point where we have a true spiritual successor to plasma, yet it has none of the drawbacks (this TV is also exceptionally thin & light for its size) Anyway, motion handling is smooth, gaming looks & feels phenomenal, and the brightness finally hits that sweet spot that was previously OLED's only Achilles heel. The design is slick and premium without trying too hard, and the integrated sound is surprisingly strong for a panel this thin. Definitely one of those purchases where you immediately feel the upgrade. This is it, folks, this is the endgame. It legit does not get any better than this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as an upgrade to a 65 inch CX OLED. The picture is brighter and sharper in HDR mode and has been awesome so far with movies and gaming. The tv speakers are ok, but I pair with a surround sound system. The remote doesn’t have an input button, so switching between inputs is a little clunky. Minor inconvenience for the overall viewing quality.

Buying an 83-inch TV sounded like a ridiculous idea… until I turned this thing on. Now it feels like the smartest purchase I’ve made in years. This G5 basically transformed my whole apartment. It’s literally one giant wall of picture. Movies look insane — like I’m sitting in a private IMAX that just happens to be attached to my kitchen. The colors, the brightness, the detail… it’s on another level. Even during the day with sunlight blasting in, the screen still looks perfect. My old OLED couldn’t do that. Gaming? Forget it. The PS5 on this TV is stupid good. Zero lag, everything feels buttery smooth, and the size just pulls you into the game. It’s honestly a little addicting. The design is another big win. Since it sits flat against the wall, it doesn’t make my place feel cluttered. That mattered a lot for a studio — it actually makes the room look bigger, not smaller. Sound is okay, but I added a soundbar because if you’re going this big, you might as well go all in. If you’re in a small apartment and debating whether an 83-inch TV is “too much,” trust me — it’s not. It’s the best kind of overkill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say, I was genuinely blown away by the picture on that 83" LG G5 OLED.There was this one scene I was watching, set in a neon-blue museum, and the level of detail was just incredible. I’m talking about seeing the actual texture on the characters' dark jackets, the little patterns in the artwork on the wall, and even the faint reflections in the glass panels. The colors are so rich and full, but they never look fake or overdone like you see on some TVs. They just feel natural. But the best part are the blacks. They are pitch-black, not that washed-out, dark-grey look you sometimes get. It makes everything else all the pop right off the screen and gives the whole image a ton of depth. Even the subtitles are crystal clear, with no fuzzy glowing around the letters. And this is just in my regular living room, with light walls and a fireplace. As soon as you start a movie, that screen just pulls you in and completely takes over the room, in the best way possible I feel as though I’m at the movie theaters.

The huge screen instantly makes everything feel more immersive — from open-world games to competitive shooters. Colors are vibrant, motion is smooth, and the HDR really pops. Stand is at the center and appears unstable (my older LG has two each at the edges) and tilted makes eye distance farther on the top side than the bottom which may have strained my eyes. The four star is because of the stand, otherwise TV is 5 star. Tried to call LG if they can change to wall mount service and return the stand, but they said they can't do. So, I would probably return the TV and buy it again with wall mount. I have all appliances and TVs only LG, love it.
