[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 97-inch LG G5 is an incredible TV in sheer size and picture presence, but it’s important to know what you’re actually getting. Unlike the smaller G5 models, the 97-inch version does not use LG’s new four-stack/tandem OLED panel. Just like past years, the 97-inch models also skip MLA. From what I understand, it comes down to the way OLED panels are cut from a mother glass sheet. A 97-inch panel uses almost the entire sheet by itself, so LG can’t divide it into multiple panels like they do with smaller sizes. Since this size is already extremely expensive, adding the newest and most expensive panel tech might push the price even higher than it already is. So while the TV still delivers excellent OLED picture quality, you should know you’re not getting the latest generation panel advancements. If you’re buying specifically for the cutting-edge tech, this is something to keep in mind. If you’re buying for size and immersion, it’s unmatched.

The blacks are absolute, the colors are vibrant and realistic, and the brightness is more than sufficient for any environment. The thin, minimalist design (Gallery Design) makes it look like a work of art on the wall, even when it's turned off. The combination of the massive 97-inch screen with LG's α9 (Alpha 9) processor results in a sharp, fluid, and incredibly immersive picture. Watching movies in 4K HDR or gaming is an experience I didn't know was possible to have at home. In summary, it's a premium product that delivers everything it promises and more. For those who demand the best quality and have the budget for it, it is the perfect choice. I am 100% satisfied!

The brightness on this panel is phenomenal; it has the pop of an LED but with that perfect OLED contrast. It is significantly brighter than my last set, making HDR content really shine. The installation looks super clean thanks to the included wall mount service—it hugs the wall perfectly. I’m also blown away by the Alpha 11 AI processor. I watch a mix of high-quality streams and standard satellite TV, and the upscaling makes lower-resolution content look nearly 4K. No artifacts, just a clear, smooth image. Hands down the best TV I’ve ever owned.

This is our 3rd LG OLED and it is absolutely gorgeous. We have a 9 year old curved that works amazingly but the new G5 is absurdly bright and its bold colors make it a notch above the rest and an easy choice to make. It is used primarily as a gaming monitor and it does not disappoint. Highly recommended.

If you have the space and the budget, the feel of a near-cinema screen in your home is very compelling. Our family room has a full wall of windows, and I was worried about glare — but this thing gets bright! The picture stays crystal clear and colorful even on sunny afternoons. Movies look incredible (I like the "Film maker" preset), and sports are super smooth — no motion blur at all. The Gallery design is very high end and sleek looking. Our purchase included both the "wall mount" and the "stand". Everyone who has visited so far has commented on the incredible picture of the unit! Setup was easy, webOS runs fast, and the Magic Remote is super handy. Sound is fine for everyday shows, but we actually have a 5.1 surround system hooked up with it and it really creates an incredible movie night! Pros: Amazing brightness, beautiful picture, sleek design, easy to use. Cons: Pricey (but worth it in my opinion!), built-in speakers are okay but I'd at least add a nice soundbar. If you want a bright, premium TV that makes family movie nights and game days feel special — this is the one!

The picture quality is absolutely stunning. We use it for gaming on a PS5 (which is phenomenal), movies and watching sports. It was a great upgrade for our home.
