Product is inconsistent. Four servings in 2 packages. Soup in one package was thin and watery although tasted somewhat like onion soup and would have received 3 stars. Unfortunately second package was thick and gooey and tasted more like wine than soup. Directions to microwave with paper towel on top were also ridiculous, paper towel on top of soup, what could go wrong?

This was absolutely the worst onion soup I have ever had. The stock had an odd flavor to it, didn't taste right. Not sweet nor brothy. Having eaten the onions cause me food poisoning. I spent the entire night puking (four events) and all of the next day recuperating. The onion contained in the package cause this, I have not doubt. Should have not eaten it period. I would not recommend this to anyone. SAMS shouldn't sell this product.

I was so looking forward to this soup because I love french onion soup. I took it out of the little carton that it's in. put it in the pan instead of cooking it and it foamed up first. I smelled it before I did that and it smelled a little strange but I'm like okay. maybe it's just not heated up yet and it is foamed up when I was cooking it and I thought well maybe I just had the heat on too much. then I took the first bite tasted like vinegar soup as I okay. maybe I didn't mix the cheese in good enough. I couldn't even finish the whole cup of soup. it's disgusting. I do not recommend this and I hadsuch high hopes!! I even tried to doctor it up with some Au Jus seasoning mix. nope that didn't even help!!
