[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was just about to mix up some meatballs when my son brought in the mail that included a complimentary jar of Spice House Old World Italian Rustic Fennel and Herb Seasoning shared by Influenster free in exchange for my honest review. Upon smelling the seasoning, I knew it was going into my meatballs because the aroma was so savory and would pair perfectly with my dish. I scrapped my standard meatball seasoning that is a combo of 5 different spices and replaced it with 2T of this seasoning blend per lb of meat. Wowzers! It was fantastic. We liked the flavor so much we added it to our jarred marinara, too. I can definitely see myself reaching for this blend often as a home cook that loves Italian. I think it would be dynamite in Lasagna.

The spice is in a nice large jar, the back of the jar gives idea of how to use it. Lots of good ideas and will definitely be trying the others. My entire family loved the sauce with this spice added in. My husband has ulcerative colitis and this did not upset his stomach at all. I really enjoyed the sweetness with a hint of fennel. It has a great blend that balances so nicely. It does have cayenne pepper but it is not noticeable. There is nothing too spicy about this product, which was perfect for my family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this seasoning! It has a bit of heat but is balanced by oregano, fennel, garlic and other spices. It's really a well crafted blend. I've made several dinners with it (pizza, pork chops that I served over chard seasoned with lemon, garlic, olive oil and Old world Italian), as well as adding some to a vinaigrette that I used in an Italian sandwich. It would be also excellent in meatballs. I love to cook, so I'm excited to try this Spice House blend!

It added just the right amount of spice to the soup without being overpowering. It was perfect to complete the soups flavor profile. I like that it had a variety of spices which allows you to not need more than one spice , since it's easy to collect single spices which are good for making your own blends. It has not only salt, but fennel, oregano, garlic, cane sugar, chiles, paprika, savory, and onion. Flexible to add flavor for any recipe.

It has a bold, savory flavor, not too salty, and it's just a little spicy. Not spicy in a hot way, but a peppery flavor. It works really well with roasted potatoes. It's definitely more of an ‘adult' flavor… my kids weren't fans, but I'll keep using it for my own meals.
