It's got great colors, and packaging looks nice. I would prefer a glass jar. It smells amazing! I also would rather there not be sugar in it.

The spice is in a nice large jar, the back of the jar gives idea of how to use it. Lots of good ideas and will definitely be trying the others. My entire family loved the sauce with this spice added in. My husband has ulcerative colitis and this did not upset his stomach at all. I really enjoyed the sweetness with a hint of fennel. It has a great blend that balances so nicely. It does have cayenne pepper but it is not noticeable. There is nothing too spicy about this product, which was perfect for my family!

I've tried it in my spaghetti and meatballs, pappardelle bolognese, and now the spicy Italian sausage with rigatoni. The addition of this spice blend greatly enhanced the flavors of all my dishes! When you smell the blend straight from the bottle, you'll stay salivating. It smells so fresh and robust. It definitely is what it says on the bottle—“freshly ground flavor”. This won't be one of those spices than sit in your in your pantry for 5+ years that start getting hard, lol. You'll probably go though this blend in less than a year because it's that's good. It has fennel in it which is knelt my favorite herb/spices to use in Italian cooking. Sometimes I'll even use fennel bulb to cook with. That spice in and of itself adds so much to dishes. Most people may not think so because of its licorice taste but….try it! The blend will be excellent on meats before searing, too. This will be a repeat purchase for sure.

The cracked fennel gives it a slightly sweet flavor that really stands out, but it's not overpowering at all, just enough to make the dish taste better. I love how the fennel, garlic, oregano, and mild heat all work together so smoothly. It's especially great in pasta, rice dishes, and even some Asian-inspired meals where it adds real depth without changing the whole vibe of the dish. A little goes a long way, and it somehow makes simple food taste more finished and comforting.
