I am a pediatric registered dietitian and I absolutely love these boxes. I use them for myself, my husband and my kids (ages 3.5 and 18 months), and always recommend them to my patients. After about 9 months of continued use, the Bentgo Chill did develop mold on the silicone liner and despite multiple attempts to remove it nothing helped. However, I reached out to Bentgo and they replaced it very seamlessly for which I am very grateful.

I bought this four months ago, have been cleaning per instructions. Product warped and won’t close now, though I am told I am getting a replacement. Also, the two large bento boxes in the lunchbox are a tad small, can be a tight squeeze to get half a sandwich or an applesauce/yogurt pouch to fit.

Bought this for my toddler who is in daycare. I have to say, I love the chill insert and the mess free compartments. I keeps all the food separate and is very easy to clean. I did some digging prior to buying And at this point don’t regret spending the money. With a all the positive reviews and warranty attached to this, it was a no brained. Very happy with the product thus far! Thank you Bentgo!

When I first received the item I was excited to use it but after a month mold starting growing rapidly on the snack and lunchbox. I followed all cleaning instructions to try to get rid of it. Vinegar/bleach and water hand washed. I really do like the box and it keeps food cold for a lone time.Customer service is excellent.

The colours are fun and allows for 4 separate foods in nice size portions for kids. Easy to use lid for kids. My kindergartener likes his lunch box and the different colours too. We like it as it keeps his food cold all day. Am having issues with getting the lid to close now with the ice pack but customer sorry is helping us so would recommend trying these out!

This backpack is great for pre school but kindergarten/elementary not so great! Lots of compartments but for a average folder NO! You can't fit the basic school folder in the slot. If you buy the lunch bag you have no choice but to attach it and make it bulky for your child to travel with other wise putting it inside the bag alone YOU WILL HAVE NO ROOM IN THERE whatsoever for anything else. The botton lunch bag only fits containers which lets be real they would have to hold just the container to travel to lunch, fingers crossed that they dont drop it get bumped into or distracted and it falls out of their little hands on the way 🤷‍♀️ .

We bought ours for the beginning of the school year after a couple years of debating it. Wow! Not only is it amazing for keeping our son’s food at a nice temp in Texas, when our son’s broke at school, we notified Bentgo. They responded quickly and efficiently. Will never buy another lunchbox ever again!

I like the concept of this lunch box. However, you do have to leave the bottom ice pack in the freezer for overnight in order for food to stay cool but doesn’t stay cool long enough. It is a bit heavy for my child to carry. I do wish they had this concept for a snack box size, it would be easier for little ones.

I bought the Bentgo Chill box for my preschooler. We used it a few times with the inner ice pack on some outings and picnics, and the food inside did NOT stay chilled. The ice pack is a thin piece of plastic that you freeze, not a true ice pack. I also found that it was impossible for my 3 year old to close with the ice pack inside. So we have been using it without the inner ice pack for school and I put a real ice pack in his lunch box on top of the bentgo box. I must say though, I do like the set up of this bentgo box better than the other (non chill) kids bentgo box. It holds plenty of food for my 3 year old for lunch (although we pack a separate morning snack). For older kids, you might want to find something larger. He has been able to close the box without the icepack on his own after some practice at home. I would recommend putting the bentgo box inside a soft lunch box because there have been a few occasions that he did not snap it close completely, and some food or liquid did spill out. Putting in another soft lunch box protected his backpack and stuff from getting covered in food. I recommend this box if you can find a good deal. But I would not purchase it just for the "chill" aspect, because you will be disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this for my 6 year old’s school lunch and it’s perfect. I love that you can freeze the tray for an ice pack. It’s easy for him to open on his own, which is important. He does struggle to close it though, but we’ll figure it out. The compartments are a good size and I like how securely it closes.
