We have had the fossil backpack for 2 years now. My son has used it for pre-k and kindergarten. It has held up through all of his adventures. He is a tiny guy, so the backpack looks huge on him but with the buckle in the front, he manages it just fine. The extra padded straps give him comfort for carrying heavy loads. Which is usually just extra clothes. His folder does get bent a little, so when he gets into higher grades and has to carry more books, it may not fit well. But for now, it works great for us. It has been reliable and functional for the last 2 years. We will be reusing it next year as well. The lunch box compartment on the bottom really helps him have less to carry, which is important. It is also big enough to throw in extra snacks that will not fit in the lunchbox. They do occasionally get squished as there is no support on the bottom but they are just extra snacks and he doesn't mind. We really love this booking.

Absolutely beautiful bag but very small. Does not fit a standard 1 inch binder which is unfortunate. Looks don't outweigh function and it's pretty useless if her daily school stuff doesnt fit.

The depth is pretty much double from the original and the large compartment is adjustable. Very happy with size and quality.

Wonderful quality. Used the entire school year and held up perfectly. Does not hold a three ring binder well, though. The bag is not deep enough and you have to fight to get the zipper over the corners. Ruins binders/folders.

Quality product at an okay value. Freezer (Ice box) part thaws out quick, but does the job for the hour or two needed. Shipping (actual getting the product to be shipped) took forever (7 business days), then it takes another 3-4 business days for it to be picked up and hit the shipping carrier.

It’s difficult to get the tray in and out to put the ice pack in. Which is a slight inconvenience and may get easier with time. The bigger issue is it’s pretty difficult to open and close for my 3 year old. Which leads to spilled and mixed food, defeating the purpose of buying a leak proof option, my 5 year old is capable of closing properly- so definitely possible just difficult for small hands
