I've tried all 3 of their sauces now. They're all very similar, but with small twists, such as a citrus character on the 'Yuzu' flavor, and a slight kick of heat in the spicy one. Bachan's is a bit different from what some might think of when you say "barbecue sauce": it's a little lighter, as in not as thick, and it has quite a bit of herbal character to it. It's pretty sweet and smoky, so that's familiar ground for most folks. My wife is not a fan of them, so they're not for everyone. I absolutely love them though, and recommend any of the sauces to anyone who enjoys Asian styles of umami flavor.

Bachans popped up on my Facebook timeline and looked so good I decided to do what I said I would never do and order some from an annoying ad. I was not disappointed. The sauce is really great. We used it on some chicken stir fry and we’re now going to be customers for a along time great job !

I mixed three different types (Yuzu, Hot and Spicy, and regular) for this purchase; and reviewed the first two separately. So here's my review of the regular: it's phenomenal. If you're on the fence, go ahead and hit "buy" because you will be blown away. One of the best sauces I've ever had.

Try the original first it was great ,then the Miso Sauce loved 🥰 it ,but when i got my hands on SWEET HONEY wow 🤩 is all i can say i use it on everything i even put it on my steaks before I grill them .THIS IS BY FAIR THE BEST SOY Sauce I have ever had !!

I was intrigued by this sauce and ordered two bottles last week. I'm vegetarian, but I used Bachan's Japanese BBQ on some vegan wings. Upon throwing the sauce into a hot pan, it instantly vaporized, resulting in the most beautiful, simple caramelization I've ever seen. Don't expect Americanized overly sweetened barbecue that you're used to. If I ate meat, this stuff would be used with literally every meat I can think of. I can't even begin to imagine how magical it'll be on the grill.

Super Tasty and Convenient Super tasty. No long list of chemical ingredients. Nice squeeze bottle and very convenient. I like to marinate the meat for a meat-veggie stir fry in this, among other things. Its nothing fancy. Its just an assembly of good, basic ingredients mixed in perfect proportions. With a lot of effort I could probably get close myself mixing the same stuff but for the decent price, I like this instead. It is now a staple cooking and marinating sauce in our kitchen.

the flavor is there, but it taste more like a sour teriyaki than a bbq sauce. it's the same consistency as water, so it's completely impossible to put it on top of anything without it running off. i'll try using it as a marinade since using it as a sauce is out of the question sadly.

I was extremely leery of buying this online but was extremely happy with my purchase. We used it on chicken and were extremely happy with the taste. Also, I love that it is a thinner type of sauce. I do not like sticky, thick sauce so this was terrific! I would definitely purchase this again. Side note: I love the name "Bachan" as my kids call my mother Bachan!

The stuff is seriously delicious, and I definitely do not regret the purchase. I did not expect it to be such a thin liquid more like a soy sauce. Maybe that’s on me? But as a result, it goes fast and seems slightly expensive for what you get. But again, it’s super tasty.

When I first learned about Bachan’s, I knew from the product description that my wife and I would enjoy this bbq sauce. I had no idea that the Missus and I would become infatuated with Bachan’s! We use it in stir-fry, on salads, and even as a solo topping on white rice. It is THE go-to condiment in my kitchen. Thank you Bachan’s!
