I swore by First response while trying to conceive my first two children… but this time around, I've peed on upwards of 10 tests that all came back with a faint positive line within the allotted time frame (I'm not pregnant). Apparently they've changed something, and the tests now have HORRIBLE indent lines. The rollercoaster of emotions is absolutely not worth it. I will NOT be buying again.

I've had 2 kids already and I've used these test everytime I thought I was pregnant.. I took an entire same test in same box and they all showed faint “positives” .. but it's just the indent line... I'm not sure what has happened with the production. Not sure if it's due to COVID or what but these suck now and I'll never use them again... very VERY disappointed in all of this because I was happy and it crushed me for it to be a indent line... but dark enough to see..

I've purchased 4 of these tests now and have gotten false positives on all of them! Very faint second lines but they showed up right away (not evap lines). Went to the doctor for a Hcg blood test and it was negative! This is not a chemical pregnancy either, as I'm breastfeeding and haven't had a period. These false positives were just devastating to me! I didn't think it was possible to have false positives until now. Zero stars. Waste of money!!

I have used first response with all of my kids and now I am getting false positives which are actually horrible pink indent lines. Once you see a slight positive you waste your money and buy more when they are already expensive just to find out it was false!!! I no longer trust First Response which is sad because it's hard to get the exciting positive when you have a fertility issue just to get your hopes up on an indention line

bought this test because it is supposed to be the most accurate. gave me a faint positive reading yesterday and i started freaking out because i'm not TTC. read up on reviews and saw that this brand has had many problems with indent lines so i took 3 different brands this morning as well as another FRER. ALL NEGATIVE !!! this brand needs to be taken off the shelves for all the emotional turmoil it is causing multiple people.

I purchased this test and it was a very fait positive within the first minute. I got so excited as I have pcos we have been trying for 4 years and had 1 miscarriage. I rested 3 times to be sure and there it was on all of the tests I re tested expecting a line progression and it was the same so I purchased another brand it was clearly negative. I have used this brand of the past with no issues but in the last 2 months I have seen so many of the same responses on a support group I'm on. This is so depressing and needs to be look into right away. I trusted this brand and it let me down big time. Caused un needed heart ach on so many people lately. Please first response fix this problem. All of my test I followed the directions perfectly and read the tests within the recommended time frame

I used FRER because the blue dye tests get such bad evap lines and dye runs, and in the past these tests have been very reliable. However Like many of the other reviewers on here, I got 4 false positives from this test, and one test that was totally defective. The false positives looked exactly like the picture another person posted in a review written on Jan 28. Idk what's going on. I have a feeling FR changed the sensitivity of their tests recently and now they are picking up on baseline HCG levels. But since they refuse to share the levels of HCG the tests will read with their customers, there's no way to be sure. I wish this company was more transparent about their product. Unfortunately after this last experience I will no longer be purchasing this brand while TTC. They've lost my trust :(

I took 2 separate tests and they both had a test line show up (with color). We've been trying for 3 years and I was so excited. Took another this morning and NEGATIVE! Wtf First Response? Don't buy unless you want to get your hopes up just to be heartbroken!

I have used nothing but first response test since conceiving my my daughter! It gave me a faint pink line at 9DPO and I never went back to any other tests! With my son it gave me a faint positive around 11DPO. Both very faint but both there. Both ended in successful pregnancies. We have been working on our third for 3 years now. I have never ever had an evap line with a first response test unless it sat for days. I buy a box a month. The last 3 boxes have given me evap lines, but because it was sitting for 30 minutes I toss them and don't think much about it. I purchased a box on Tuesday. I took the test on Thursday afternoon at 2:20 pm. The result is below. It popped up in a 4 minute window. I immediately got so excited. It's been 3 years and there it was! A second line in 4 minutes! I took the next text which resulted in another faint line! Fainter than the first one but still showed up in 3-4 minutes and showed up in photos. I went out and got another box to take the next day for reassurance. The first was negative. That night. Another negative. The next morning another negative. So there are definitely some defective boxes in the mix these days. It's my reason for a review. I don't hate this brand. I love them! But there are defective boxes on the market at the moment. I'm not sure if anything has changed since 2011 when we started using them.

This is the third cycle that i have had faint lines show up and I've gotten excited for a bfp. Only to be let down bc apparently ever single test has a horrible line that shows up and darkens within time limit . i should never have bought these again as its happened before but i just couldn't believe it would be the same time after time . Wasted so much money on the “best” . They are the worst, false hope , false everything with these tests , do not trust .
