[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been researching Elliptical machines for 1-2 months when I saw an ad on Facebook for the X16. The deciding factor in my decision to purchase was it's ability to be an elliptical, a stepper, or a treadmill. And after having it for a month now, I can honestly say it is the smoothest, best machine I have ever worked out on. And the I-Fit subscription makes each workout session so entertaining. Very nice machine and I'm glad I bought it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the versatility of the stride. I'm 6'3 and wife is 5'9 and it works well for both of us. Ifit makes it really fun to use with the guided workouts that adjust incline and speed automatically.

I never thought of myself as a runner. I'm built like a farmer! But this machine actually lets me run without destroying my joints. And I have travelled to more places in the last 45 days than I have in my entire life. . . hiking in the Canadian mountains, walking in Australia and running in Portugal. Love the iFit. I actually look forward to my workout.

We've had one issue in the past year of ownership, one of the rubber belts frayed to the point that it had to be replaced. The part was still under warranty and NordicTrack made the whole process easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this machine. It is super smooth and quiet. It's best feature is the free moving stride, allowing your stride to increase or decrease automatically based on the user, your speed, and how you want to move at the time. So why 4 stars and not 5? To be fair, for me and the way I use it, it's a perfect 5. But I'm a bit older these days and don't run as fast as I used to. I like to run at a pace around 4mph, pushing it up to around 6mph when sprinting. My old self, would have pushed both those speeds up 2 to 3 mph. And that's where this machine falls down. Anything much over 6mph, no matter how I try to shorten my stride or adjust my technique, and the stride goes too long, banging into the base like a drum. So. . . if you're happy running 6mph or under, like me. . . You will absolutely LOVE this machine! I do!. If you are someone who likes to really open up the speed on a regular basis, then I can't recommend it for you.

We recently upgraded our 2020 era elliptical to the new X16 and we do enjoy the larger screen and the ability to stream Netflix, etc while on it. I also appreciate the tilting the machine does when going downhill or uphill to make it seem like real life activities. That being said, there are a few things that I still scratch my head about. 1) Bummer that you can't really watch all your streaming apps on the platform, only a few. 2) There is not a shelf to place a phone or tablet on. 3) the screen does pivot, but it's not a 360 etc pivot, more like a slight up and down pivot. 4) I have had issues with my headphones connecting to the trainer audio with this newer software. 5) The thing thinks I've made a “smart adjustment” when I haven't touched anything. Do I think it's a good upgrade, yeah. Do I think it's a necessary upgrade? Depends on what the new features are worth to you.

Do not buy this. The handles bang hard if you try to go fast. I have had it for one week and the display has already needed reset twice because it lost connection with the machine and the sound was not working. I overlooked this with my old Ifit bike because I like the Ifit software when it works and I paid $500 for my old Ifit bike. At this price point I expected more. If you intend to go at a slower pace, you may be fine, but the banging starts at around 40 RPM which is less than the beginner running workout I am trying to complete. The machine is heavy. It arrived very well packed. The instructions were good. The included tools and hardware were good. The banging and jenky tech are just laziness on behalf of Nordictrack. Unacceptable.

i bought nordictrack x16 because it was supposed to be for short people it is a lot bigger than advertised. They showed a girl moving it but it takes 2 people. i use manual mode so i was disappointed that you can't use apps like Netflix without paying ifit over $300 a year to get access to it which you shouldn't have to pay to use an app you already have to pay for to use. Honestly i would have bought something alot cheaper if i new i couldn't use console without subscription

I bought this so I could do elliptical and my wife could do treadmill, when research it doesn't say anything about it is just a motion change. I thought you would use a selection but to change the motion. So now in the middle of using you lose the motion you were doing. And now I find out I cannot pair my IPhone to it to listen to meetings I have recorded. SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE SOLE MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
