I prefer to use the liquid fabric softener to the sheets, but I am experiencing the liquid turning everything blue. Is the Free and gentle clear and how does it react to dark colors?

Too many softeners have a cloying fragrance...downy is fresh without being too sweet smelling makes laundry soft,but manageable and not so soft that the items ;lose their shape

I’ve never used a fabric softener before so I picked this one up. I like that it’s dye free, I haven’t noticed a difference in my clothes though. Not sure that I’ll continue use once it’s gone.

I was wondering what exactly is in liquid fabric softener? I recently moved and went to clean my machine and when I went to clean the dispenser, it was waxy, so much so that I could not salvage the scrub sponge I was using.
