Yup I said better than Philips, are the tv back lights perfect, no but they sure are close. After I struggled with Philips for 2 weeks to get the hdmi box to work right with my receiver I gave up and took those back and bought these. No headache with installing or set up and they cost less! GREAT PRODUCT

I owned the earlier version of the TV light strip, nice but not impressed but this new Light strip with the light bar is terrific. I have a 65-inch tv and the light strip goes around the very edge of my tv completely from around 4 sides. The light effect I use for Movies and Music and I find the response of the lights are right on. I made adjustments through the app. and it's just perfect. I did try another brand "LYTMI" and I'm still trying to receive my refund through PAYPAL.

buy this!!!! Stop reading the reviews and questioning yourself buy it! This backlight led for your tv makes watching movies 100% better! Not even movies but games as well! Me and my girlfriend absolutely love it and the app that lets you control everything on it brightness, hue, etc. There is also music mode that goes along with the music. Overall great product and will soon have it on every tv in my house! Stop reading and buy now!!!!

Bought this as a gift, now my family wants one. Importantly though, is that while using a camera seems a little intrusive, unless smart TVs start including HDMI out, it is really the only way to do ambient lighting for the majority of my watching content.

The lighting is awesome. It adds that little bit more to the show experience. The first movie I watched I found myself watching the background more than the movie. Fortunately I have seen the movie many times so it didn't matter. Love how the colors change and you can have different colors all around the tv screen.

The camera does read the TV well, colors backlit on the wall match the screen with hardly any noticeable lag. White balance was probably the most important setting in terms getting the colors to match. The LED strips are NOT RGBW, so the 'white' does have a bluish hew. Not a big deal IMHO. I thought the camera right on top of the TV was going to bother me, but it doesn't. My 65" Sony Bravia X90CJ is the main event so between the screen and backlight, the camera doesn't draw my attention and cause a distraction. I find the system doesn't produce light on the bottom of the TV as well as it does on the sides and top. I guess using those 'lava light' test videos, the LEDs at the bottom of the TV match the output of those on the sides and top. But when watching shows and movies there seems to be less light weighted towards the bottom. Maybe this is because those shows tend to have brighter colors at the top of the screen compared to the bottom. I played with the relative brightness setting, but didn't seem to do much. This may just be a function of what is on the screen during the shows I'm watching. Anyway, not a big deal. Like I mentioned before, the TV is the main event. The lights are an added bonus. I've already received several compliments on how the backlights track the screen.

You will get the biggest bang for the buck with the DreamView T1 TV Backlighting system. It is nothing short of outstanding/brilliant! Makes my wall and room more theatric than ever! No matter what you view, it just accents the picture and feels better than any theater! ...And the installation was the easiest ever!!!

this govee backlight changed the way i watch movies/game/streaming since my tv is ultra bright in a small room it helps tones down the tv brighness and not deal with eye strains. im still playing with the scene and video calibrating until i find my go to led theme layout
