Rocky start.
Hmmmm. Purchased in October. One of the mini cameras was intermittently faulty right out of the box. Swann did replace the faulty unit at no cost to me but I felt it took an unreasonable amount of effort by me to achieve this. Fault was reported on 19th Oct, replacement camera received 5th Nov. I find it disappointing that the support process is nowhere near as responsive as the sales process. I had to constantly follow-up to determine what was going on. Perhaps my expectations are unrealistic? MaxRanger hub software is responsible, seems stable. I suspect it is targeted at online powered cameras and can be confusing when using report by exception batteries cameras as displayed information is often stale. As I’m a left hand mouse user and the primary and secondary mouse buttons are not to my liking and I have not found a way to swap the buttons. iOS app is err flaky at best, plenty of room for improvement here. Pairing the app on my iPad with the hub was a challenge as the QR scan scanner function did not work and MxRanger hub was not available to select when pairing manually. I did manage to get my iPad paired in the end but not sure how I did it. Also many features in the app such as adjusting the PIR sensitivity based on the selected mode does not seem to work with the MaxRanger hub. I’m still investigating this, perhaps this functionality is not applicable to the MaxRanger hub? Both cameras installed now and system is performing adequately, nervous about hardware longevity. House is an average size suburban house so no issues with RSSI and I like the fact that the system is not taking to much bandwidth on home Wifi.

Make sure you have the charger in the box
It did not come with a charging coard no slot to insert SD Card,only records sometimes does not catch most activity unless it is very close, also can not hear anyone who is talking. I figured I could buy the charger separate but no charger fit it the tip is too short to fit in the slot

However, a USB to USB-C charging cable is included in the box. This cable can be connected to most standard USB wall chargers you may already have at home, or alternatively, to the USB port located on the back of the Base Station. This approach is part of our effort to reduce electronic waste, as many customers already own compatible USB chargers.<br /><br />In relation to storage, the cameras themselves do not have an SD card slot. The MicroSD card slot is located on the back of the Base Station, and a MicroSD card is already pre-installed at the factory. This is where recordings are stored, so no additional SD card installation is required.<br /><br />We’re sorry to hear about your experience with motion detection and audio. "Included Accessories" Not Included
The product description says: "Included Accessories: 1 x rechargeable backup battery for Power Hub, ... HDMI Cable, ... Mouse, ... Theft deterrent stickers" - none of which were included. Most importantly for me was that I understood by mentioning an HDMI cable that the hub had an HDMI port to connect to my TV. Nope, no HDMI port.

Because of this, accessories such as an HDMI cable, mouse, rechargeable backup battery for a Power Hub, and theft deterrent stickers are not included with the Base Station package.<br /><br />Those accessories are associated with a different system that includes a Power Hub with HDMI output.
