Great cameras!  Easy to set up and the view with them is great - appreciate that they are good for outdoors as well as indoors.  App is easy to use to view also.  So pleased with them that we bought a second set!

As good as it gets

Camera install.

Hmmmm. Purchased in October. One of the mini cameras was intermittently faulty right out of the box. Swann did replace the faulty unit at no cost to me but I felt it took an unreasonable amount of effort by me to achieve this. Fault was reported on 19th Oct, replacement camera received 5th Nov. I find it disappointing that the support process is nowhere near as responsive as the sales process. I had to constantly follow-up to determine what was going on. Perhaps my expectations are unrealistic?

MaxRanger hub software is responsible, seems stable. I suspect it is targeted at online powered cameras and can be confusing when using report by exception batteries cameras as displayed information is often stale. As I’m a left hand mouse user and the  primary and secondary mouse buttons are not to my liking and I have not found a way to swap the buttons.

iOS app is err flaky at best, plenty of  room for improvement here. Pairing the app on my iPad with the hub was a challenge as the QR scan scanner function did not work and MxRanger hub was not available  to select when pairing manually. I did manage to get my iPad paired in the end but not sure how I did it. Also many features in the app such as adjusting the PIR sensitivity based on the selected mode does not seem to work with the MaxRanger hub. I’m still investigating this, perhaps this functionality is not applicable to the MaxRanger hub?

Both cameras installed now and system is performing adequately, nervous about hardware longevity. House is an average size suburban house so no issues with RSSI and I like the fact that the system is not taking to much bandwidth on home Wifi.

The cameras were ok but kinda difficult to see if they were working. Also, the app is very buggy and slow

Clunky system

Went to my local Sams Club today to buy this security system because they had it on discount. Brought the placard from the display for the cashier to scan, paid for the product, and then was told five minutes later that it was sold out. Was told I'd have to go get a refund of the purchase price, which might take up to seven days to be refunded to my bank account, and then the man turned his back and got on his phone. Very poor customer service and very poor stock control.

Not in stock after being bought

I will not be able to test the quality of these cameras or utilize them the way I need to utilize a security system. There's nothing on the box that says you must register with Swann in order to use your cameras. You have to create an account in order to use the app they require you to use to set up your cameras.

We went to the Montgomery,AL store the display was filled with display cards we checked out and went to pick up the item but it was out of stock. A full display of cards to purchase the item should not be on the floor, if the item is not available. Had to wait in line all 3 times, to purchase the item. Pick up the item, and told it was not in stock, and a third time to receive the refund. 45 minutes later, we left empty handed and frustrated! Just hope the refund appears on my card, in time.
