We mixed it in water with a water flavor packet. It mixes in super well and has zero added flavor. There is zero grittiness or odd texture to the water. Our 6 six year old daughter had no idea anything extra was in there and chugged it down. I ordered this for my nephew (4yrs). He doesn't have any usual digestion issues but with school starting back I wanted his parents to have a stockpile of health supplies. I don't like to give kids anything I haven't tried first so i tried it in my water to make sure it didn't have any strong after taste or issues....this stuff works! A little too well. I would suggest maybe not giving your little one an entire packet and also mix it into something with flavor (juice, milk, yogurt) because you can definitely taste it in water. Also, if your child is regular I would only use this whenever they're having issues to avoid accidents or stomach cramps. Most importantly...TRY IT YOURSELF FIRST.
