This is simply a fantastic receiver, even more so considering it was half price as a refurbished unit. I replace my Marantz receiver with the AVR-S760 and boy was I amazed at both the sound quality improvement, but also at the picture quality. Everything else in my system stayed the same. Everything is included in the box except the instruction manual, which you have to download. Setup is relatively easy and effortless. Programing is also intuitive and easy to achieve. I wont go into all the technical details, but I will say this is one amazing receiver that will get the job done. Super quality all around. You can't go wrong with Denon!

For a small entertainment 4K receiver this was an excellent decision. The set up was easy to follow and I liked the Audyssey speaker configuration for auto calibration. Plenty of inputs plus supports 8k for the future expansion. Sounds amazing and I like the speaker manual adjustment. As with most center channel output including different brands it tends to be a little to quieter with the voice. Priced a little higher but quality comes at an extra price. Look forward to years of great service!

We bought a Sony 8 months ago, bought the Denon S760H for another room about 3 months ago . . . love the Denon . . . and then the Sony failed after 8 months, immediately ordered another Denon S760H and had it up and running before Sony could give me details for warranty on the 8 month old and dead unit. The Denon works great, I bought the Audyssey app which works great too. Denon online support - both from Denon and user groups is very helpful and I'm still discovering features - the number option settings is amazing huge. The Denon setup menus appear to have everything available within the front panel, video interface and apps . . . compared with the Sony that has many settings only available from the front panel.

I ordered a refurbished model. Very happy with it - looks brand new and functions perfectly. And I love the features, especially being able to stream to it from my iPhone - even if the system is off, selecting it as the streaming system turns it on and you can completely control it without even being in the same room. Only quibble would be the on screen display for set up and options looks pretty dated. Still works fine though

DENON always make great home theater receivers I just brought this receiver for my 4K TV it is awesome small and compact got the same power that's the big boys does it has everything that you need if you're just starting home theater receivers this is the one to get it's jam-packed and fully loaded I recommend this

I bought this guy to replace an older receiver and to add Atmos to my movie experience. I always thought my speakers were underpowered, and I was right, because my Polk 5.1.2 system came alive with this the Denon s760h. IT’s everything I need and more, for the price, I can’t imagine better. My first Denon, and I imagine I’ll keep coming back.

I originally had an Onkyo TX-S939, but was wanting to move to a receive that supports height speakers for Atmos, originally I was looking at Onkyo, but after doing a bit of research, found this gem. I've heard people say that music is a little less lively from Denon, but I have not found that to be the case, and as far as surround sound, I feel like I'm in the middle of the action. even playing Mario Kart, I can hear the players coming up behind me, which helps in deflecting shots. I also have a tcl 6 series mini led tv, which is fantastic, and use Polk speakers, they are from when I bought the original onkyo system, and I was on a budget, so I have 2 T50 towers, 2 T15 Bookshelf, and 1 T30 Center channel, as well as ps10(subwoofer, I believe that is the model for that). I would recomend this receiver to anyone wanting a budget surround system. as a side note, I have a Hue sync box between the receiver and TV, the only component that doesn't play nice with that is the 4k Blu-ray, but the tv has more HDMI ports, and the Blu-ray player has a second HDMI port for sound only to goto the receiver... I will be adding height speakers soon, but until, it is really immersive.

Two weeks in I've replaced an AVR-X1000 with the 760 refurbished. ( New smart TV and it needed 4K eARC to reduce the connection hassles and it was time anyway). Unit came as advertised and the auto setup made the connections a snap. Two new High Speed HDMI certified cables replaced the swarm behind with a Klipsch 5.1 reference set-up. Sounds better than before (And was good before) plus two more channels to play with at some point. Impressed.

I purchased this unit so I can use it for vinyl, CD, PC MP3, AM/FM... Music. NOT TV. I hook it up. Plug in all the devices in the appropriate ports. The receiver's menu tells me to complete set up on a freak'n TV. Can this step be bypassed? Do I need to return this overpriced component? I do not want to use this with my TV. Any ideas on how I can simply select the source and begin using MY purchase? This is not as simple as it could be - like if it had a 'set-up bypass' option. 'Quick Start'... or something like that. Definitely NOT an intuitive user inferface. The owner's manual - all 6,000 pages - does not cover this eliminating this annoyance... as far as I could determine. Is how to do so in the manual? Ugh.

Good stuff! Been a while since I had a "modern" receiver. Easy setup for listening position, little need to tweak it later. It's nice how well it works with input switching...just turn on the device, the denon responds. MAKE SURE you have updated HDMI cables, at least v2.2 Otherwise you may think it's the AVR or settings that is the problem. As for sound, pushes my Klipsch set up very well. A little bright on the multi-stereo sound field, but otherwise I approve.
