It worked fantastic for the first few times, but then it lost suction. I think I got a refurbished one or something. I will be returning for a replacement. Let's see is Walmart and Hoover stand up to their name. I really like this but I think I got a dud. If Wal-Mart is willing to replace it, that would make me very happy . If that happens I will revise my statement.

We had an older carpet cleaner from Hoover and we liked it, but we used it a lot and felt we were due for a new one. The new one is lighter and easier to use. We have back and leg problems and this new cleaner was so much easier on us. It also cleans better than the older model, so we love working with it.

Does a really good job. I used in high traffic areas and was highly pleased. Good for folks with back or standing issues, not heavy and bulky perfect for the person entering mid age or older and can’t manage the heavy industrial machines. This will be a stable in my home for years to come. Love the attachments ease of use and connection to machine and they are older age friendly.

We have 3 cats, and the amount of hair this thing was able to handle is amazing. Even after regular vacuuming, this thing picked up so much yucky stuff that you couldn't see was there. The instructions are super simple, and I love that there's a clean tank, a dirty tank, and a solution tank. The drying feature saves so much time too. Within a few hours, my hallway was pretty dry. What I was truly amazed at, was the ease of cleaning the unit when done. Everything comes apart and just rinse the pieces under running water. Even the stair tool came clean. So far, this is an amazing product, and I would definitely recommend it.

This little powerful machine works so GREAT. I had my doubts at first but, when I finished my entire house it proved to me it could live up to its name. I even used it on my area rugs and purple lounge chair.My traffic area was horrible and this little machine got it super clean. It was so easy to use and the dry time was phenomenal. My entire house was dry in less than a day. I would recommend anyone to buy this who want a small easy to use carpet cleaner.

We borrowed our son's to try and loved it so much we wanted to get one for ourselves. Easy to use, did a terrific job and well worth it. We had a small Bissell and never liked it and it was hard to use but little did we know how much dirt came out of our carpets when we used the Hoover. Far superior product! Didn't have to mix solution and was great at sucking up the water.

I absolutely love my Hoover Smartwash!! It cleans my carpets so well. I have an older dog that has accidents on the carpet and the smell is nauseating. My Smartwash pulls out the urine as well as the smell. It also doesn't soak my carpets. It lays down the exact amount of water and cleaner without me needing to squeeze a trigger. This machine is so impressive that we bought one for each of our 3 adult kids and their spouses. Would I recommend? You bet I would!! If clean is what you want then this is for you!

I bought this a couple of weeks to replace an old Hoover carpet cleaner that was it in its last leg. I did a bit of research and came across the SmartWash. I like that it was compact in view of moving to a small 1 condo in the Bay Area where space is premium. Additionally, that all the parts could be clean with ease, especially the carpet rollers which my old one you really could not easily remove. Anyway, I purchased it and was really impressed at the ease of use and also that it perfectly removed old stains in the apartment unit I had moved in and told the rental lease office. One thing I was hesitant was so negative reviews in terms of ability to lift stains, etc. I can only advise you is to go slow and let the machine do the driving, rushing the job will not

Overall good and easy product to use. Noticed a little rust forming around where roller bearings connect. Not sure if this is normal, lubed with (HT) grease. Will see if this corrects the problem since the bearings and inserts are metal connecting with water. Only have had for a week, used three times and noticed this after removing covers that rollers connect to. Overall not bad. Easy as vacuuming.

I have used the carpet cleaner to clean two rooms. I was pleased with the results. The carpet looked as clean and fresh as it did when I had it professionally done. I'm 74 years old and I found the cleaner to be light weight and easy to maneuver. I especially enjoyed the extra drying feature. Most of all, the carpet cleaner came with a hard copy of a detailed guide. Having a guide in hand is more convenient than having it on line.
