I started using it the next day and was amazed, not only is it so easy to use but it really does an amazing job cleaning! What I really like is the dry feature, you push it button and it stops spraying and just drys both forward and backwards motion!

The Smartwash Automatic Carpet Cleaner is the absolute best Carpet Cleaner I have every used. It removed stains and dirt from my carpet that had been there for a very long time. It is light weight and easy to use. One of my favorite things about this cleaner is that it doesn't leave the carpet really wet after cleaning and the carpet drys very quickly. Not only did my carpets look 100% better after cleaning them but the air even smelled fresher and cleaner.

This steam vac is super convenient, easy to use and a great buy!! Works just like a vacuum.. Literally put your water, carpet cleaner solution and push.. No pushing buttons to spit out soap or needing to let go of trigger to suck up the wet carpet.. it feels just like a vacuum.. Two thumbs up!!

I (thought I) posted a negative review about the SmartWash I recently purchased. The first time I used it, yesterday, it was working fine until I emptied the dirty water and then after that, the suction wasn't right and it wasn't pulling up enough water and was leaking pretty badly. I was all set to return it ASAP until I saw how great my carpet looked this morning. It hasn't been this clean in years with the Dual V Widepath that I thought was doing an amazing job until it died after 10 years of use. I was so excited about how easy my SmartWash was to clean yesterday that I figured I must've either gotten a defective one or didn't reconnect something correctly. The latter must've been the case because now the suction is right and there is virtually no leaking when it's not being run. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase and if it were possible, I would give it 10 stars. I'm so relieved that I didn't return it and gave it another chance!!! Hoover did an amazing job on this--it is as if they took the Dual V Widepath and corrected everything that was wrong and named it SmartWash. A BREEZE to clean in every way, functions are a breeze as well. The only improvement that would make this any better would be if they could figure out how to make the cord retractable! ;0)

The Hoover Professional Series SmartWash is my third carpet cleaner. Without a doubt it is also by far the best. 1) No 'attached assessories' and added wieght to lug around while cleaning the carpet like other uprights. Yet this shampooer is full featured with quality built assessories, which also comes in a very nice bag. 2) Cleaning power is comparable to my first large scale canister shampooer but without the difficulty of manuvering the huge tubs and motor.... You were the scubber... which also made for a good workout. 3) Much much better than my second shampooer, a poorly designed high price Brand 'B', which took an hour for cleanup afterwards, and still never worked as good as this Hoover Professional Series. Cleanup is exceptionally easy and complete on the Hoover with the plastic parts being heavy duty, well made and very well designed. Only Con that I found that is typical with all uprights is that need to pretreat and hand scub the edges and corners... (Not a fault of the Hoover upright) HD has the perfect long handle rotatable brush for edge cleaning. This is a very well made and well designed machine... I like it!

We bought this to replace an older carpet cleaner that was really worn out. I was really happy with how it worked and the ease of using it. The Auto wash and dry directional movements worked really well and no premixing make cleaning easier. But what was really amazing was how good it cleaned our carpets. My grandkids had made quite a mess of our carpet and I thought it was shot for good, but the SmartWash+ carpet Cleaner saved it! We used the Hoover Clean Plus detergent.

I bought quality light carpet 2 years ago. I spot clean, but my smaller carpet cleaner was not doing the job. I saw this on TV, bought it, and OMG!!! My carpets look fabulous again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easily installed, and operated. The motion sensitive auto wash/dry feature makes it very easy to use. The drying capability is effective and fast. So far we managed to remove all stains with little passes. The clean/dirty tanks are big enough to work a 100 sf room without stopping. Another feature we liked, is the hose attachment(s), which enabled us to wash the stairs and sofa couches. We always vacuum, and keep our carpets nifty clean, yet this hoover carpet washer pulled so much dust and deep dirt out of those carpets.

This is my favorite carpet cleaner! I am amazed each time I use it at how much hair and dirt are in the base. Our dog has fine hair and we never realize how much she sheds. The removable nozzle helps clean the brushes and your hand doesn't hurt from holding the handle! I enjoy watching the water get dirty knowing that my carpets are clean again!
