Having this product is nice, was expecting more when it came to the drying part.. I was not expecting the product to have so much water dripping form it ( had to mop the floors while cleaning the rugs) such a hassle, or have so many moving parts to clean after cleaning our rugs.. Might gift this one and retrieve the self cleaning cleaner... Not sure if I would recommend this product as of yet....

I found all the features user friendly. Especially cleaning and maintenance was easy. The only downside is grimy areas and stains do not clean easily as shown in the promotion video. I had to scrub the areas or use spot cleaner before using the machine. It did a great job removing normal dirt.

When I say it cleans it all, it cleans it all. Do not be afraid to tackle any ground in or long term stain. It's about the cleaning solution and the machine. Hoover you have out done yourself, you have found harmony between machine and solution. Thank you thank you thank you! I love this Hoover and thank you for the clean house! P.S. The heating mechanism on that drying cycle. I mean within 30 minutes walk bare foot on clean carpet.

This product is absolutely amazing! This is my 3rd Hoover carpet cleaner and my last one last me for over 5 years. Hoover's technology gets better and better every time I purchase them. This cleaner uses less water and cleaner solution. So, when you use less water, my carpets dry faster. When the directions say to vacuum first, I have a Dyson vacuum cleaner, but when I use the Hoover carpet cleaner, it still gets pet hairs and other garbage imbedded in your carpet. This machine is amazing! I would definitely recommend the purchase if you are looking to get one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had rainwater back up in our basement from a storm and we were able to clean the carpet in the finished area easily with the cleaner. It was especially nice to see exactly where to focus on thanks to the transparent piece attached to the suction nozzle. You could tell exactly which sections of the carpet needed cleaning. Very happy with the purchase.

I purchased this machine about a month ago. My carpets are ALL off white/beige..five kids plus 2 dogs equals not so clean carpets. Having just finished potty training my last puppy, we needed some help but due to Covid you can not rent any machines. Decided to make a purchase and I am SO GLAD that I did. This machine performed miracles for me...my carpets are once again spotless. It does take some getting used to in that it cleans while moving forward and dries while moving backwards...but it really isn't that difficult to get used to and it does a superb job. I did buy the Hoover solution as well as the spot cleaner. Very impressed with the cleaning ability of the machine and the carpets are only damp when finished, dried within an hour or so. Additionally, the machine itself is super easy to clean once you are finished, snap the roller cover off, pull everything out, run under water, pop back in. Really nice product design. It is lightweight and not too big so easy to store. If you are on the fence about buying a machine..do yourself a favor and buy this one. I have no regrets.

I love this very powerful machine. We could literally see the carpet go from dirty to clean with each stroke of the carpet cleaner. We had never owned our own carpet cleaner and have lived in our home for over 20 years. We either borrowed one or had carpet cleaners come in to do the cleaning. Now with COVID 19 going on, we are at home more and noticed just how much we could benefit from doing some spring cleaning. The 4 of us in my family all pitched in and cleaned every carpet in our home ourselves and was so glad I had made the purchase of this machine before the stay at home orders were in place. I definitely feel it was a purchase that was well made!

I ordered the Hoover Smartwash for my best friend for her Birthday, she has 4 dogs and a mini pot bellied pig that lives in the house, the all get up on her furniture and she needed a carpet cleaner with the upholstery attachments and I seen the informical on TV for the Smartwash and wanted to get her something different. The first one that was supposedly delivered never was so the company shipped me another and we used it on Wednesday on the couch and chair and I am very amazed at how great it cleaned the furniture. The couch and chair look brand new again, also cleaned the area rug and that looks better now than when it was brand new. Thank you Hoover for making a great carpet cleaner.

I bought this a couple days ago and it is AMAZING! Three kids and my floors are embarrassingly nasty. I couldn't get it clean with the rug doctor I had but this, I swear it gets everything up. We are amazed at how well it works. We will definitely be with hoover always now. I cant wait to see what else they come out with.

I bought this a couple of weeks to replace an old Hoover carpet cleaner that was it in its last leg. I did a bit of research and came across the SmartWash. I like that it was compact in view of moving to a small 1 condo in the Bay Area where space is premium. Additionally, that all the parts could be clean with ease, especially the carpet rollers which my old one you really could not easily remove. Anyway, I purchased it and was really impressed at the ease of use and also that it perfectly removed old stains in the apartment unit I had moved in and told the rental lease office. One thing I was hesitant was so negative reviews in terms of ability to lift stains, etc. I can only advise you is to go slow and let the machine do the driving, rushing the job will not
