This unit replaced my first Hoover carpet cleaner purchased in 1996 that lasted until July 30, 2018. The motor burned out. That unit's brushes rotated using air from the vacuum motor which did not work so well as it aged. This unit has direct drive brushes which is a big improvement!

Hoover never seems to disappoint with their products at all. I absolutely love my carpet cleaner. I do deep cleaning every spring and fall and it gets my carpets very nice and clean. I've used it a few times for accidental spills and cleans right up. I love my Hoover and recommend them to all my friends and family.

EVERYTHING IS NICE ABOUT THE MACHINE EXCEPT YOU SHOULD HAVE A BYPASS ABILITY SO YOU CAN PUSH THE MACHINE FORWARD AGAIN TO SUCK UP WATER AND CLEANER ALONG WITH THE BACKWARDS MOTION. I HAD TO TURN OFF THE MACHINE, REPLACE IT AT THE START POINT, TURN IT ON AND MOVE BACKWARDS VERY SLOWLY TO PICK UP THE EXCESS WATER. ON SOME PORTIONS OF THE RUG I HAD TO DO THIS SEVERAL TIMES. A BYPASS OR DISPENSE SOLUTION BUTTON WOULD MAKE THINGS A LOT EASIER.

I bought this unit several months ago, I had problems with the on/off switch and called customer service, they sent me several ideas to try none worked, they then sent a pickup slip along with a new unit. This really is the best cleaning machine I've ever used! The dual brushes are belt driven and work flawlessly, the auto clean/dry makes it easy to use, the quality is great. The Smartwash cleaned a stain our old unit wouldn't, we put a rug over it two years ago to hide it, thought what would it hurt to try and wow! Can't tell where it was anymore. I would highly recommended this product to anyone and Hoover products, I have used Hoover sweeper and cleaning machines for over 30 years and have always been satisfied

I bought this carpet cleaner about 7 month ago. Now one day the rollers start making a noise and don't spin on carpet. I take it a part to find the tension roller is moving and rubbing on the outside plastic wall causing the rollers not to spin. I was able to rig it so it will work. Looking for parts now to replace the whole roller control assembly.

1. Great price. 2. Arrived quickly. 3. Super easy to assemble. 4. Worked as advertised. 5. Carpets look much better. Perfect so far. However, I really dislike those car ads that boast, "Best in initial quality!" Same for any other product. Initial quality is important, but how well will it work five years from now? Time will tell, but so far so good.

Our old carpet cleaner, was old. We desperately needed an upgrade. I am so happy we chose the SmartWash +. So easy to use and clean.No nozzle to squeeze for the solution. Dries quickly. I definitely have noticed that my carpets are much cleaner and they feel nicer! I have four children, two of which are toddlers, and messes happen regularly. I was hesitant at first about buying this, but I am so glad we did.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No need to pull a trigger and the two brushes get more junk. The dry only feature helps for quicker drying time. The solution tank lasts a long time on one fill. My one pet peeve is the capture tank isn't hands free and the pieces come completely apart so you have to line them back up and get your hands dirty to empty it.

It took me a while to unbox and finally put this to use but I am happy with my purchase. I own two other carpet cleaners both of them are quite heavy and have larger tanks but they don't seem to have the effortless movements of this unit. Well this unit is not large it really does a good job. I tested it by vacuuming twice the area I plan to clean I then used my original carpet cleaner and cleaned and area. After it dried I brought out my new Hoover and I re-clean the same area I could not believe the difference The Hoover made. After it dried I again took out one of my other carpet cleaners and ran through the same process only this time there wasn't any residual cleanup needed. I also then tried this Hoover on its own in another room which I had cleaned and vacuumed and after it dried I brought out my older bigger machine and ran over it. I had the same results it did not have anything to pick up the Hoover had done the job. I would The Hoover made. After it dried I again took out one of my other carpet cleaners and ran through the same process only this time there wasn't any residual clean up need it. I have had a much larger pro. cleaner and it did an amazing job but due to a major surgery I am unable to use it any longer.I decided to try the SmartWash because I have owned Hoover vacuums for years and they are very good, I am so I glad I did purchase. Try one you'll LOVE IT! The SmartWash does just as good and is lightweight and easy to use, a lot less exspensive. THANK-YOU HOOVER.
