The treats had an earthier smell to them than the chicken. My dog was hesitant at first, but after a few days he started to enjoy the turkey. The calming treats do help mellow him.

Like most other calming supplements I've tried, he wouldn't eat it on its own so I had to hide it in food. I followed the weight based guidelines, but it didn't seem to have any effect on him.

This unwanted reaction can manifest as general restlessness, especially in new surroundings such as vet visits and car rides, or as frenzied energy around most strangers. This calming chew won't replace normal behavioral corrections, but it can help owners feel more confident in their training efforts. While I didn't observe a dramatic change in my dog's demeanor, the chew seemed to create a slightly calmer atmosphere. This subtle shift allowed me to approach training with a more relaxed attitude, which ultimately benefited both me and my dog. I obviously can't personally comment on the turkey flavor, but judging by how quickly my dog scarfed it down, getting her to take her calming chews won't be a challenge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave my 3 year old 75 lb Belgian Malinois the appropriate amount of the calming treats. She absolutely loves them. She ate each one with no issues. She rested well and wasn't running arms as she usually does.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited for my dog to try the Zesty Paws Calming Plus Bites and was really hoping these treats would help to ease his anxiety and make him relax, but while they did seem to take the edge off, they also upset his stomach and caused some digestive issues shortly after eating them. A couple hours after his first dose, he had some diarrhea, vomiting and overall looked clearly uncomfortable. I gave it another shot the next day with only half a dose this time, but unfortunately the tummy issues still persisted. I like the concept and the wholesome all natural ingredients seem thoughtfully chosen but if your pup has a sensitive stomach like mine, you might want to try something else. Every dog is different though, so if yours has a more ironclad stomach, they might work great but I recommend starting with smaller doses first just to see how they react.

It seemed to calm her down, if you're expecting or hoping it will completely have your dog docile this is not the product for it.

I would recommend them because they appear easy on her stomach, no problems, she was excited to eat them, one was enough, she was not groggy or hard to wake. The package is resealable, which keeps them soft and last longer.

I give these treats to her around 7pm, a time of night when she is usually off the wall because she has been home alone all day. About a half hour after I give her these treats, she is calm and relaxed! I will definitely continue to use these treats. I think they would be very useful for the times I travel and she has to be boarded.

I tried them by themselves as well as hidden in meat. There must be something in the ingredients that does not appeal to her.
