Boiling Water in under 5 Minutes

Maybe not the best, but it boils water faster than what you'd get using a kettle on the stove top. It lacks fine control of water temperature that pricier models have. Definitely not a deal killer for me, but there are folks that would rather not bring the water to 212° for certain applications. Me? I'm just happy to get boiling water in fewer than 5 minutes.

Handy tea maker

I use it to make tea from loose/bulk tea. I also empty tea bags in the strainer. I do no t use tea bags, since the plastic bags can release harmful chemicals when exposed to hot water

Good price and quality

This is the first kettle I have ever used and it's super easy to use along with being easy to clean, it only has one button (That being the on button) and it heats without needing much supervision it is also easy to clean, this is a good kettle and would recommend to anyone making tea for the first time.

Works great, faster than stovetop

So much easier to clean than my old one which still works. The lid is easy to remove and clean. Works fast and looks nice. Keep it next to my K cup coffee pot for easy access. Use it for making tea, instant mash potatoes, ramen noodles, etc. Really is handy for a lot of things.

Was skeptical about this item but used it was impressed but in three minutes you've got boiling hot water if you put the teabags in the container if that's what you're using it for tea comes out excellent in this house we drink two types of tea, half of my family drinks iced tea, but not hot tea and I drink hot tea but not iced tea so what I do is I'm boil the water in it and it makes a half a gallon of iced tea real quick then I make another pot and then I have hot tea all day long if you just wanna boil water for whatever reason less than five minutes, you've got more than order easy to clean and maintain

Do not make tea

Works well. I would not recommend using the cylinder to make tea. I wish I would have kept it strictly water. It's is insanely hard to clean and the mesh at the spout is awful to try and get to. I still don't think I've gotten it completely clean. It heats up really quickly and otherwise it's great for heating water.

Fine for a while and then leaks

Buyer beware it works well for a while and then the seal giveso out at the top where the glass connects to plastic. Mine started leaking at that connection recently. I will be getting something else before I get burned. I have had it for about a year and 3 months.

The concept is good, but the design is very, very poor! I would actually give a zero, if it was an option. First of all, the pot is not submersible in water, so it is very awkward/hard to clean. The pot, itself, is in three sections. Bottom, (metal w a plastic exterior that has electronic components), middle (glass) and top (plastic). The metal bottom discolors after use, apparently from the heating element. Hard to clean and remove all the discoloration. The seal between the glass carafe %26 the top, is either poor or non-existent. It leaks water/tea when pouring. Runs down the front %26 spills everywhere. Where the inside of the glass meets the top, there is a lip on the inside %26 the water/tea never completely empties, because it sits on this lip. Even when turned upside down. I purchased because it had such a high rating, but don't let that fool you. Again, a good concept, but very poor design. Take it back to the drawing board and I might reconsider my score, until then, I am a ZERO on this product!!

Kettle leaks when pouring

This kettle has one major flaw, it leaks every time you pour it out. I have tried different methods and just ended up putting something under the spout to catch the boiling water. In addition to being extremely irritating, it’s a safety hazard.
