I bought this a month ago and I’m not very happy with it. I really dislike the fact that you need to plug it to turn it on and unplug it to turn it off. It does not have any on and off dials or temperature controllers so when it gets really hot it starts to burn the food.

We could not get the top to hinge properly, so the sandwiches were pinned tighter at the back. Consequently, the sandwich was wedge-shaped. I look at every online tutorial I could find and there was no instruction on how to get the two plane to lie perpendicular. All the other features were great, but it was useless and has now been taken to a thrift store.

I bought this press around Christmas for myself and I am glad I did. This press works great for sandwiches, fish, meat and vegetables. Since it only 2 of us in the house the size is perfect and it doesn't take up all the space as a traditional press. I highly recommend buying this press.

This is my first Panni press, I read reviews on many products prior to choosing this one. It is easy to use, has lots of room for those thicker sandwiches. It cooks evenly and if you layer your sandwich right it will melt the cheese perfectly. Just buy this one !! You can't go wrong

I have used a Panini Press & Cast Iron Griddle before as two separate appliances. I thought this would be the best of both features. The Grill works well, but for me, the Panini Press is difficult to use. It's hard to close the lid without pushing the sandwich out. I have to get a spatula & press it on the side of the sandwich to keep it in the press. The Panini Press I've used before, the lid is raised so I don't have this problem.

pros: detachable dishwasher safe grilling plates variable height on the back of the press to promote even grilling of thick sandwiches cons: no on off switch...plug in or pull plug out the top of the unit gets hot to the touch overall: happy with the purchasse reasonable price it works and makes delicious sandwiches!

Great value for the price. My teenager loves using this. Its also great to make sliders and grilled chicken. The only reasn I gave it a 4 star is because the hinge is not a flexible as i would have liked. If it is thicker sandwich it doesnt press down evenly on the sandwich as the hinge doesnt allow the plate to lay flat on the bread.

Wasn’t really sure what this panini maker was all about, but our kids were! Greatest countertop appliance ever! Want your kids to eat nutritionally? Have this countertop meal maker ready to go all the time, keep plenty of hearty bread in the pantry, fill your frig with salad fixings including avocados for that extra good fat, butter or infused oils for that unique crisp toasted outside crunch, and high quality sandwich meat - presto! Panini Time!

I have the larger Griddler Grill & Panini Press and love it. I saw the smaller one and bought it thinking it would be great for the two of us since we are now empty nesters. The small one is perfect but wish the grilling plates were reversible like my large one. One side flat for cooking eggs or pancakes etc. the other for grilling. Absolutely love that the small one has special legs in the front that open so that the grease slides out the back into the grease pan easier. Love this new one!!

My husband received it for Christmas and he loves it, he uses it for grilled cheese and panini sandwiches! I love it for the easy to wash plates, you just put them in the dishwasher if they are really cheesed up, but most of the time just wipe them down.
