I have been using the IPL for about 8 weeks. I’m honestly stunned with the results. I use the product for my lip/jaw/chin, and have had persistent dark hair growth on and off for years. It has been resolved by laser years ago but reoccurred. I had tried laser again, and no luck. This has worked so well in just 8 weeks and for a fraction of the cost. I’m trying legs and underarms now. I have medium/fair caucasian skin and dark brown and thick hair. I don’t take before and after, but was having serious skin issues from hair growth; including redness, scabs, bumps. It’s mainly already gone and I expect continued improvement.

I love that this is a longstanding brand with tons of great reviews on devices like this. You scan the code to setup your specific device and its accessories in the app. The app is so wonderful for clear simple step by step instructions on what to do, as well as great visuals and help on scheduling your sessions for each treatment area with reminders. The device scans your skin to get the right intensity, and it nailed it. I like that this includes multiple heads for different treatment areas and a beautiful case. It tells which heads you have, and where to use them within the app too! I am so excited to continue using this from the early results I see. The only thing that might be a nice add is a little more FAQ info, as a first timer I wasn’t sure if I should use deodorant after treating underarms, but I was so relieved to see that this didn’t irritate my somewhat sensitive skin. Such a wonderful product and app for getting rid of unwanted hair safely and painlessly. I highly recommend this product and know you’ll be as happy with it as I am!

I did a lot of research about the safety of this and why it could potentially be harmful. I noticed while using it wouldn’t make the flash unless it was placed exactly the right way on my skin. I haven’t found any irritation from using this all over my body- three weeks in and i definitely will say I’ll keep using this. I would suggest researching your skin type and understanding IPLs first. The app is glitchy and needs work but is still cool. This was easy and works fairly pain free- only some warmth in sensitive areas. I would like a better app and more proof of research of this at home lasering being safe would be good too. I’m just super cautious of skin health and don’t want to do any damage but thus far Braun has delivered in safety and results!

I own both the pro 5 and now the smart. I was curious if I would have better results with the smart and I have. I had some stubborn facial hair that is now almost gone after 5 weekly sessions. I also found the smart to be more affective on my legs than the pro. Also with both I had better results than when I paid a lot of money for not so great results at a med spa. And that was just for my face. With this I can touch up as needed and it’s super easy and private. Well worth the investment.

I’ve had a different brand IPL device years ago and it was extremely slow and took way too long to treat even smaller areas. This device is quick and powerful. You merely have to hold the button down and it will continuously pulse while you move throughout the treatment area. Highly recommend!

To all the women out there it will never work permanently. I would never waste my time. Why do I need to use this if I have to do it for 30 to 40 years. I am a retired dermatologist which I focused to other skin conditions. I studied this kinds of Braun thru out my career and never ounce worked. If u women like to waste your money by own means do so. You will spend all your life's getting no results.
