I’ve had a different brand IPL device years ago and it was extremely slow and took way too long to treat even smaller areas. This device is quick and powerful. You merely have to hold the button down and it will continuously pulse while you move throughout the treatment area. Highly recommend!

It started showing results just in 3 weeks. I’m pretty hairy but I could see the difference after a few uses. The different heads for different body parts are really convenient. It’s really easy to reach at hard to reach parts. You know what I mean. It takes just 15 to 20 minutes for the whole body and the best part is that it suggests what to do to get better results next time. It’s like a guide to take you to the place where you want to be. Everything from the design to its effectiveness has impressed me. Pared with my smartphone instantly and now I don’t have to consult with anyone because I have a private one 24/7 available on my phone which adjusts and get the things ready for me every time I use it. I’ve seen a DRASTIC drop in regrowth and bc I’m not shaving/waxing - irritation has completely stopped. The laser doesn’t hurt when making passes on the skin it’s a small pinch. I had no negative reaction after running the light over my hair removal areas. It comes with a really nice organizer case and multiple light heads for targeted areas. Realistically it’s awesome but pricy…10/10

I've done *everything* to try to get rid of it or minimize it - waxing, plucking, shaving, epilating, dermaplaning, professional laser treatments. The professional treatments were the best, but they were thousands of dollars and the results were very brief - even with a full year of consistent treatment a lot of hair would return within a month. There was no way that I could continue to spend that kind of money on a temporary solution. I spent hundreds on other brands of at home IPL and they were useless. After seeing so many positive reviews for this Braun IPL I decided to give it a go. The results are so far beyond what I hoped for I could cry. I've been using it twice weekly for two months and there has been a drastic decrease in the amount of hair, texture of hair, hyperpigmentation from years of skin damaging hair removal methods, and a massive improvement to the overall texture of my skin. My constantly embarrassing five o'clock shadow is gone. Some realism: you Must patch test, you Must start at the lowest setting and only work your way up when you know your skin can handle it, you Must follow the directions regarding shaving vs plucking - this is a serious device. Be aware it works best on dark hair and only middling on blonde hair (my dark hair patches are Gone, but the blonde patches are more stubborn). I do use this in combination with tretinoin, which is doable but higher risk. I let my skin get used to the IPL for a month before resuming tretinoin. I have a routine of tretinoin, wait three days, IPL in the morning and tretinoin in the evening, repeat, giving my skin a few days of recovery from the tretinoin before the IPL. I'm not recommending that you do this without patch testing and knowing what your skin can handle, but since I saw so many mixed messages online about it, it's worth mentioning that it may be doable for you.

The IPL device and all the cords/ various heads are all stored in a cute leather carrier which keeps everything organized and together. I started using this on my armpits and am VERY impressed. I am not a fan of shaving and hate the look of stubble so I was optimistic going in. The device makes you do a skin test first to make sure your skin is suitable for the device. It then gives you a quiz on hair density and how aggressive you want the process. I started doing my IPL every week and have been impressed thus far! My hair is a lot less dense and grows a lot slower. I’m excited to finish my sessions and be done shaving!! Gave 4/5 bc the laser must be flush with the skin and can be tricky to get all points on skin at certain angles (aka when I started doing my lower legs). Overall highly recommend!!

To all the women out there it will never work permanently. I would never waste my time. Why do I need to use this if I have to do it for 30 to 40 years. I am a retired dermatologist which I focused to other skin conditions. I studied this kinds of Braun thru out my career and never ounce worked. If u women like to waste your money by own means do so. You will spend all your life's getting no results.

Absolutely, but far more worthy than most any other splurge and treat yourself choices out there. If, like me, you’ve ever wasted time, money, pain or suffering on shaving, salon waxing, or the worst-professional laser treatments- this game changer from Braun should be at the top of the wishlist. I don’t even want to admit what I paid for a painful laser package, at a supposedly huge discount, that I still haven’t finished the sessions for. It’s better late than never to change my hair removal life permanently, from head to toe. As little as 3 weeks in and this app-based learning Skin i-Expert Smart IPL device has delivered obvious improvements in hair follicle regrowth thickness, color and texture, while some spots are already gone for good for at least a year. With each use, it gets to know your skin tone and body hair to optimize and improve treatments every time. The super easy app even guides you for total confidence and control over your at home med spa results. So if anyone ever tries to talk you out of purchasing this revolutionary no brainer, it’s probably because they’re scared of being put out of business and exposed for their outrageously exorbitant service charges. There are no regrets here and I only wish I’d discovered it sooner.

I have fair skin with dark brown hair, and I connected to and followed the instructions on the app for the first 12 weeks. My leg hair is almost to the point where I want it, but my underarms and bikini area still have some needed lasering before they reach maintenance. At 13 weeks, I went onto the app to do another session and it said I needed to wait a month before I could do another. So I went ahead and used the device but unfortunately wasn’t able to track it. What is the point of having an app if I can’t use it to achieve and track the results I want? The new version with the app is a waste of money after 12 weeks if you still haven’t fully seen the results you want. You might as well get the older version without the app because you won’t be able to track properly anyway.
