I bought this looking for something exciting that my 5 grandkids ages, 5 and 4 more that are 2 and under, could grow into and use for a long time. I saw it went up to 75 lbs. I was concerned about safety and was reassured by others rating this item. The kids loved it. I know it says ages 3 and up but even the 2 years olds loved it. As crazy as it sounds, my yorkie kept running up to it to ride...lol. Everyone loves the video of her running back to take a ride. My only problem was getting everyone to wait their turn. I was so nervous the first time that we ran it down with a padded weight. It is sturdy and I saw no safety issues. As of now we are on flat ground. When the kids get bigger, we might put it more on a slope. Putting it together, I wouldn't call it super simple. Luckily my husband had it with no problem. Might have been a bit harder for me on my own. It's not hard to assemble, just putting the pieces in the right order. I wish they had numbers on them to match the diagram. I also liked that it's something different for the kids. I don't know anyone else that has one. Unfortunately, when the kids are little you will get your exercise by bringing the car back up...lol. The 5 yr old could load it up herself. I do wish there was an option to buy another car if ever needed. Hopefully, I don't have to worry about it. But it would be nice to know that was an option. I have no regrets. This is why I am a ratings reader. I saw over 700 reviews and almost all of them were positive.

This coaster is literally one of the best toys they have ever come out with!! (not just Step 2 products, but any toy anywhere!) It provides tons of fun and lots of physical activity. All the parents in my neighborhood were completely amazed by this toy and the constant joy that it brings to all kids (ages 2 & up). My daughter is almost two, and she was not scared of it at all. She absolutely loves it and so do her friends!! Awesome toy Step 2, we need more like them!!!!

This is our second time purchasing the roller coaster (2nd child) and we are so excited to watch our daughter start using it. Our son, who is now 7, loved his so much it was by far one of his favorite toys. Even though he will be too big to ride this one, I'm sure he will try. Of course you can make the coaster even more exciting for the adventurous children by aiming it downhill or building a giant leaf pile for them to crash into :-). Just sayin'....Best Christmas gift by far. So fun and not horrible to assemble. Our last one was pretty darn sturdy and held up against rain, sleet, snow and a hurricane. Yes, I may have ridden it myself too so...it's a solid piece of equipment.

This is a super toy for those little daredevils who are very active. My son (the little daredevil) was 20 months old when we gave him this and he loves it. Within the first hour he was launching himself, riding down with his hands in the air, woo-hooing, then pushing the car back up the ramp by himself to do it all over again. It tires him out so he sleeps great at night!The only suggestion I would have is that maybe the "railing" around the top could be taller because my son likes to climb up to the top and roll his cars down the grooves that the wheels ride in. When he's standing up on that top platform the sides are very short and offer no support to keep him from going over the edge. I know it wasn't designed for children to do this so I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that he has a tendancy to do this and it would be safer if the rails were higher.Used properly, it is very safe, durable, and loads of fun. Worth every penny!

when we first got it was winter and wet outside. so we set it up inside since we have a long hall way and we set up pillows at the end for them to crash in to. You would think it hurt until they jumped up laughing saying do it again.. my kids are 4 and 2 they absolutely love it! have a great video but dont know how to upload it. I do have it posted on fb.

kids 5-6 love it, but you have to watch them a little as they try to increase the fun by doing more daring things like going down backwards. Finally, the editorial review was exactly right-the car does get used separately from the track and (when I kept my track out all the time) the kids played on it with matchbox cars and balls on a daily basis (it just took too much space in our play room). I wish they made toys like this when I was a kid.

This is just Awesome! My 19 month old can almost do it all by himself. He just can't quite push himself out of the wheel safety divits to get himself started which is great. My 7 year old also loves it. So I think it is a great choice for a wide age range of kids. I see us getting a lot of use out of it this summer. Sometimes we turn the sprinkler on to make it a wet ride! We also have a big hill in our yard so we let my older son angle it down the hill and he gets a much faster, longer ride! Well worth the money when you see those precious smiles and total enjoyment!

We bought this for our two young boys (4 and 2.5) and they both absolutely LOVE IT! No problem for the 4yr old but the 2.5yr old needs a little help. Only downside is that is is extremely difficult to assemble - took me several hours. Other than that, it's great and I'd highly recommend it for folks with young kiddos.

My grandaughter absolutely LOVES this coaster...we bought her a playhouse and the pamplet with the coaster was in the box with the playhouse and I seen it, and had to get on the internet and order it right away!! [...]I put it together and we had a hard time trying to get her off of it... She loves it...couldnt have asked for a better durable toy that she loves....the only thing that I have seen wrong with it is that it tends to have a gap between where the 2 pieces of the ramp is put together, but other than that I think it is a great toy and is definatly worth the money!!

I ordered this for my son's 4th Birthday party [...] My husband and father put it together in about 10-15 min.s. When I saw it in the living room I thought it was too big and I had made a mistake but I was wrong. My son was scared at first but from the first ride down he was hooked. All the kids at the party loved it. Even a 1 year old loved it but he's extreme! All the parents said where'd you get it now I have to get it because my son/daughter LOVES it. What my husband loves is that he can just relax while my son is on it he doesn't have to do anything. We had my son wear the helmet at first but he doesn't now. I still think he should but the ride is very safe and sturdy. Love it.
