We bought the "little" roller coaster when our son was about 2 and he loved it. When I saw this coaster in a parents magazine for best Christmas ideas, I knew he would love it now that he is older and bigger. I DO make him wear a helmet, not so much because of the height, but because it goes FAST when it comes off the ramp. We have actually had to make a "bumper zone" to stop him coming down the side of our house. This would be my ONLY safety suggestion- to make sure you have a stopping zone! Otherwise, this coaster is truly a find, very durable yet light enough for one person to move. The little car fits my BIG 4 year old (55 pounds) securely and he has hours of FUN! I only wish there were more outside toys built as well for his age group.

i bought this for my grandchildren and they want to go on it all the time. one is over three other two. have a 12yr old and 11 yr old. they all play together on it and have so much fun. they all get their exercise. if you are thinking about buying it do. it is well worth the money to see them all having such a good time in their backyard.

Our 2 year old grand daughter recieved this for her birthday. We were not sure she was old enough, but after the first time down we knew it was a huge success. She smiled and laughed a lot and while running back up the hill she kept repeating "again" over and over. We did purchase a helmet and I would recommend doing so especially if you are setting this up on blacktop or concrete areas that have slight drop offs just in case. The children who attended her birthday party rode this coaster the entire time they were at our house. It is a fabulous backyard toy for kids who love action.

We purchased the Extreme Coaster for our two grandsons, ages 1 1/2 and 3 1/2. We were quite sure that the boys would like it and we were quite sure that we would be happy with the quality since we have purchased quite a few other Step 2 items. The Extreme Coaster surpassed our expectations. The boys LOVE it and so do their young cousins. The 3 1/2 year old can "coast" independently and it won't be long until the 1 1/2 year old can push the car to the top. Our son-in-law was able to set up the Extreme Coaster on an incline.... so the kids really get a super ride.

We were a somewhat concerned that our daughter would be scared of this toy after we read some of the reviews...but we bought it anyway for her 2nd birthday and we could not have made a better choice!! It was a big hit at her birthday party with her and all the other kids who's ages ranged from 13months to 13years. Another great product from Step 2

Recently purchased the Extreme Coaster to be used outside by my DayCare children,ages 3-7. It is easy to use,it goes fast & far, and seems safe for all of my kids to ride! The only problem that we have had, is that it has blown over in the nasty Kansas winds. Staking it down has fixed that issue.

My son uses it often, always a great toy to bring out when company is over always a hit. Everyone ask where to get one. We have had ours a year now and still love it and still looks brand new, we do keep in garage when not in use. Would buy again for sure even though it takes room for storage. Will have many more years of fun with it!

This toy is the best and will last a long time. I just bought this off [...]. The people who bought it first had it for two years. It looks new and has held up well. My kids love it. (5 years and 18 months) They had a blast today when I put it up for them. They would of played all day and night with it if I would of let them. I think this is a toy every kid needs!!!!

Our 3 children ages 8-2 years love this product we got it for our oldest and it is still like new for our youngest. Played with by every child that comes over to our house this coaster is a hit! The steps going up are very wide so it is very easy for even young children to push up the car to be able to do it on their own.

This a great toy! If you want to see you children so happy and excited..buy this item. This is the 2nd extreme coaster we purchased. We purchased this when my son was about 15 months. We put it upstairs in our very large playroom with pillows at the end of the run. We also had the Step2 Clubhouse Climber in the room along with other toys. We had a party and all the parents and children love the roller coaster the most of all. We moved about 1 year ago and gave the extreme coaster it to a friend because we could not fit it inside in our new house. My son just turned 5 and my husband asked him if he likes our new home, my son replied yes, but I miss my roller coaster at the other house. That was it! My husband purchased another one and my little guy plays with it everyday after school. Money well spent!
