I would not buy this as a primary car seat or for travel on a freeway. I even took it to the local police station for installation, thinking i was doing something wrong, and the officer who specializes in car seats could not get the seat to not tip sideways, a bit. He did say that the car seat worked, though.

I bought the car seat and returned it after using it only two times. It's impossible to get it to instal tight enough where it doesn't move back and forth. (More than 1” of movement)You have to use the front facing strap (while it's rear facing) to secure the baby seat onto the back of the front seat. If you don't do this- the baby seat will lift up off the car seat. It barely adjusts. There is only three “reclining positions” for rear facing. One setting is too much and the next setting is too little. And no matter what you do- the shoulder straps stay slightly uneven. The buckles...

The cup holders are maybe a little too easy to remove as I’ve lost one and wasn’t able to find it for a while but it eventually showed up again. Otherwise we’ve been very happy with this car seat.

All the reviews about it moving are probably due to poor install. There is a QR code on the book that takes you to the various install position videos. To properly install the rear facing latch; you need to lift off the cushion off the car seat a little and pull up and back against the car seat while pushing down. After the video I saw the angle and leverage needed to install; My car seat went from moving a few inches to not a single millimeter, not even my Evenflo Safemax is as secure. I recommend watching the two minute video for your desired install position. This also has nice shoulder cushions. 5 star

We have one in both cars. It is easy to adjust the straps and the headrest slides up and it moves the straps with is, which is so handy so there is no rethreading of the shoulder straps. My one complaint/ advice is installation! When you install this seat, remove the cupholders and pull the tightening strap up through the bottom of the cup holder if you are using the straps and car seat anchors, put your knee in the middle of the seat and yank up. While slightly annoying, and easier with 2 people, I am currently 6 months pregnant and can manage it pretty easily! This has given us the <1" wiggle room required for rear facing.

I like the fact that she can grow with it, without having to buy multiple car seats. I feel safe with her in this seat. This seat is more user friendly as far as loosening it and tightening it to get my son in and out of the seat. My mom and sister each wanted a carseat for my little boy so we didn’t have to swap seats out all the time. I ordered 2 of these carseats in teal color. I love this model even more than the previous model I have. I’m considering ordering another one like this for my car to replace my expensive seat.

I know we have it belted in tight into the back seat, but it seems that there is some side-to-side play. I don't think it would matter in an accident. Maybe when we turn the seat around, as the child grows older/larger, that play won't exist. We know the seat has to pass federal government standards, so we're living with it. My wife feels that the chest connector (vs the one in the crotch/groin area) feels too big and a little flimsy - she feels like it could pinch the baby.
