The new modifications (upgrades) moved this storage rack from a good item to an excellent storage unit. Specifically, the deeper depth of the shelves and the redesign of the connecting mechanism (of top & bottom halves) is so much better, more solid and quicker to assemble. I've already bought three and plan to buy two more for my climate control storage unit.

Once up it is pretty good but the parts for the shelves bend a little too easily. Had to rebend them to get into the receiving holes. Have other ones like this that seemed like they were made with a little heavier metal. Its up and seems to be fairly solid!

Great shelf, easy to assemble. The shelf has tons of storage. My project was to clean and organized my storage area in my basement and this shelf was absolutely awesome for what I needed. It is such a great shelf I ordered another. Well worth the money

The finish on the framing is much nicer than most similar shelves. If you choose to assemble this as one tall vertical unit, you’ll appreciate the way the uprights stack. Similar shelves require you to have a shelf at the halfway point in order to attach the uprights together. These shelves use an insert that joins the uprights together securely while maintaining access to all of the shelf positions. Shipping really beats up the outer box, but I didn’t notice any damage to the product itself.

Outstanding! Carries a LOT of weight and is secure once assembled. Simple, but requires a bit of precision during assembly. Much better than 5-tier plastic shelving and no dipped shelves frome weight. Only $20 more than the heavy plastic shelving and FAR better in the long run. We have already purchased 12 of these to replace other lesser shelving units!

Cross pieces kept falling out of the slots. The legs are very lightweight metal and when I attempted to move it after having stuff on it already one of the legs bent slightly. Unit is very unstable until completely assembled with shelving. Shelves are only 3/8" thick laminated particle board. The pieces they include for joining the legs together cause issues with the cross pieces, however if you put the cross braces in first and then add the coupler it works better.

I bought 2 to test out how sturdy and easy to put together they would be. Next trip I got 2 more, next trip I got 4 more after having tested the wieght capacity of not only the each shelf but structure tolerance in whole. Incredibly adjustable I was able to make a shelf for my heaviest items weighing over 90lbs on the bottom and it only made it more stable. Going back for 2 more-I think I'm addicted. Love Them

The shelf was easy to set up however once the rack was halfway up I discovered that all but two shelves were cracked. This shelf is too heavy and too inconvenient to attempt to take apart and return to Sams. I am very disappointed and it is very doubtful that I will order online again.

Bought this to use as open shelving for easy access to my small appliances and my baking pans and accessories. I have it off of my kitchen and it has the look of a professional kitchen now. It was very easy to assemble, is very sturdy, and looks nice. It was exactly what I needed and had cleared up other areas for additional storage. Love it.

I have the grey shelf version for my basement storage. After a remodeling of our garage incliding a new expoxy floor, I thought the black shelf versionwould be best. I b ought one and assembled it for spousal approval. She said yes. Unfortunately, my local Club was out of stock. My wife liked it so much that I had to drive 55 mile to the closest Club that had them in stock. Bought 5. Happy wife, happy life. These are made well in Taiwan because the shelf attachments are hidden, it could be used in any room in one's home. The only downside is that the shelve are 3/8 inch thick and tend to bow under greater weight. Adding a 1/8 inch underlayment plywood beneath the shelf, bolsters its weight bearing. That is what I did. It also raises the shelf a 1/16 inchh above the steel edge for a very finished look.
