Just bought 4 sets of these shelves for my job because they resembled ones I had used before. But these are way better and cheaper! Put three sets together in hour or so in slacks and a dress shirt. Only tool was a rubber mallet. Well designed. Go together easy. Incredibly sturdy. Facilities team complemented them!

I bought my husband these shelves a few weeks ago. We ordered 4 shelves one of them was damages and it was a hassle to return it. We ordered them online because we had no way to pick them up at the store. We were very disappointed you would send us a product that was clearly returned and rewrapped.

We put this in our new pool house. It holds items that we use with the pool. Very sturdy shelves! The shelves are solid so nothing drops through them. Took us maybe 10 minutes to put together. The shelves are adjustable! Custom shelves that are very strong. Highly recommend.

I thought after my research I had picked a shelving unit without particle board, but I must have compromised for the good price. But as I feared, three shelves came cracked and two others had corners banged up on the two units I bought. They should hold up (out of stock, so they wouldn't send replacements shelves), but I can't imagine putting 400 lbs on any of these shelves. And as others have noted, you have to build them where you want them - they will twist and fall apart if you try to move them. Not that you can't take off the shelves and rebuild in another location. [Note, they ship from NJ, but mine came to CO in about 10 days.]

The system is not sturdy. Sam's sells another silver metal shelving system that is much higher quality. I bought this one thinking it was a shorter version of the first one. Not the same metal or height. We bent 3 supports trying to get the shelves to 'sit' onto the shelf supports. I got what I paid for. Just wish I could take this back to the store with the bent supports.

I'm in love with this shelf! It is in the middle of a room used as a divider. It is wide enough for me to have books on one side and containers on the other. It is sturdy and doesn't budge. I don't have small children so I don't have to worry about anyone trying to climb it, but I'm not sure it would need ancored even if that was a concern. it is a truly solid shelf.

NEEDED 6 SHELF UNIT WITH 18 INCH SHELVES (IT HAS BEEN OUT OF STOCK FOR SOME TIME, BOTH ONLINE AND IN-STORE. HAD TO SETTLE FOR THIS UNIT SINCE I HAD A TIME CONSTRAINT TO FINISH MY GARAGE PROJECT. THIS SHELF WAS NOT MY PREFERRED CHOIC BECAUSE FOOTPRINT CONSUMES MUCH MORE GARAGE WIDTH VALUABLE SPACE.

Overall a good quality product. You will have to place one shelf at the connection point between the beam sections, in the middle. I have similar shelves and they came with a clip to secure the two beam sections together so you don't have to place a shelf in the middle and place the shelves were you would like.

Sturdy and well made. It helps greatly that there is a piece that goes in between the lower columns and the upper columns so it fits together much better than a similar item they have for sale. If the dimensions are OK for your space, this is the rack I would get.

Each individual piece of metal: beams, bars, brakets are flimsy during assembly. The columns/pillars are solid and have no give during the set up. Once the whole thing is put together the flimsyness subsides and it seems to be very solid and hold weight. Upon taking the parts out of the box don't be saddened as I was that it felt cheap, I think the flimsy lightweight parts are smart design to keep weight down where weight isn't needed.
