The shelving unit when out together is very sturdy. The metal brackets that surround the particle board shelf pieces provide a solid edge so the shelf boards will not warp. You need two people to put the shelving unit together so you are not frustrated with pieces falling before they are locked together.

I had purchased rack on amazon several months ago and the pressed boards supplied with the shelves were about 3/8" thick. if you set something heavy in the center of the rack without the side rail support the pressed board breaks. these shelves are stronger and thicker. the shelve brace support holes are semi-hidden. better deal for the money!

I mistakenly ordered the wrong shelves. I had purchased another set previously and they are very stout and heavt duty. This shelf, medium duty at best. Spend the extra few bucks and order Item # 963235 You’ll be much happier if you’re looking for heavy duty shelves ar a great price.

I bought 2. One was damaged unfortunately. All of the boards were cracked badly. But I understand this is due to shipping and handling most likely. Overall, they were easy to put together and are decent quality. The price is great compared to everywhere else. I would have given it 5 stars if they didn’t come damaged.

Open the box before you buy. Only store that had them was 1.5 hours away. Bought 2 and got home and one had 2 broken shelves in it. Drove 1.5 hours back to store and exchanged the one and bought another because we liked them got back home and found 3 shelves cracked in one box there was no box damage on either one that was broken. Was not making that drive again. Decided to purchase another somewhere else

These storage racks are great and very reasonably priced. Very sturdy: each shelf holds 800 lbs. Plus, the laminate shelves are smooth so they don't snag on bedding, blankets or any other textile items if you try to slide the item onto the shelf. Many other storage racks have rough particle board shelves. Rack can also be assembled as full height or half height- we've done both, and the shelves can be spaced at 3" increments to fit your needs.

The shelf unit is great. Works well in the garage as well as other rooms or locations. Can hold quite a lot of items. The shelves are adjustable for different heights. This is the second unit. My only complaint is the delivery company. They are subpar.

I've purchased other similar shelves to this. However, this unit was the best I've ever bought for these simple reasons: * simple for 1 person to put together. I love the fact that it has joiner pieces to connect the top and bottom instead of just splitting a shelf to do it. * hole covers not only make it nicer looking, but makes it feel much sturdier. * plastic top and bottom pieces to make it not have metal on your floor. Happy I bought 2 (for my garage), I'll be buying 2 more (for my basement), and as long as these are made to this quality, I'll always look to buy this unit for my large shelving needs.

I read many of the reviews of this product. Going in I thought they may be difficult to put together. Once having separated all parts from box the assembly went well. Very minor difficulty getting started, but once the base is together, it went very smoothly.

We bought 2 of these shelves to organize the chaos in our storage room. It took about 30 min to assemble both. They are very solid and we packed them full with no issues. Very happy with product quality and price. Plus Sam’s delivered direct to our door for $9.95. It couldn’t get any better!
