Great Deal, Free Shipping, Great Quality!

What bang for the buck! I'm not sure what I did to warrant free shipping but this thing had to cost at least half the purchase price to ship. It took me less than 20 minutes to assemble and couldn't be more straightforward to put together. The steel sections could have been a bit higher gauge steel but once assembled it's a solid unit!

easy enough to assembly - pain to get replacement

I purchased three. Shipping took 12 days. Assembly is not the easiest with only one person, but its doable. The biggest pain is one of the parts, a C-post coupler, was bent incorrectly and didn't fit. After several attempts to contact the Sam's Club customer number for replacement parts, I was finally given an email address to the manufacture, in Taiwan. I've emailed them for the part, but will likely have to wait several weeks. I'll most likely end up going to the store to swap parts when these are back in stock. I'm sure it will be quicker.

Has the material changed?

I bought these thinking they were an upgrade to the uncoated version that had the exposed holes for shelf assembly. They old ones were solid, heavy and didn’t move. These new ones don’t seem to be steel, unless thin enough to be pliable and bends easily like aluminum. They seem to hold the weight well but twist and flex with any movement. Concerned about stability and safety with children in the garage. May need to return or anchor them to the wall and have never had to consider that with other similar shelving. Anyone else have this experience? (I am skilled at projects and even used a mallet to ensure all shelves we locked in).

Amazing quality for the price!

Before I got this Storage rack (I bought 3), I'd had 12 other racks from various manufacturers. The Member's Mark racks put the others to shame. Very well packed, nothing missing/broken. And the racks themselves! Hammered grey finish, with a neat design on the uprights that hides the holes/tabs on the inside. I'm sure the shelves are particle board, but they are laminated on both sides and all of the edges for a sleek look. I saw some people thought it was wobbly or fell apart- VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS! Make sure each piece snaps in place (I use a rubber hammer), and you must place a shelf at the seam if making an "Upright" shelf. Will definitely buy again!

Excellent shelves

These shelves rock, they are sturdy and look great with the no show holes, I have 2 in my garage, they are better than any wire shelving, the actual shelves are thick and don't sag at all even with quite a bit of weight on them...the rack itself is heavy duty and the space between shelves lets you store just about anything, its also nice to know you can set these up in a couple different configurations...I am going to buy 2 more for our 2nd garage, I hope they never discontinue these, they are an excellent value

did NOT work as described

DO NOT USE OUTDOORS. This item description is not accurate as to use! I live in the Desert, and with the very first slight rain the shelving started to warp and chip in many places. If I used it indoors, such as in a garage, it might have been minimally okay, but I would still not trust it to hold the weight suggested! very flimsy shelving material that I now have to replace after just a couple months of use!

Good, durable

Purchased 3, laminate protects from moisture, shelves constant use allowable weight is about 200lbs per shelf, plenty good for most customers. Love the 24 x 48 area, holds 4 milk crates with extra space. This price was still 50% less than competition.

Member's Mark 5-Shelf Storage Rack

I have 3 of these racks, 2 in my garage and 1 in my shed. Easy to clean and slide things on to as they have a formica type of coating on each shelf. Of course I paid less than the current price, but they are awesome. I don't need a shelving unit that holds 10,000 lbs. that costs twice as much.

Will Be Buying More!

I bought 5 of these units when they were on a pre-holiday sale in 2017. I couldn't be happier! They are very sturdy, easy to assemble and durable. I need to buy another 6-8 units and these will be the only shelves that I buy based on my great experience to-date!

Very sturdy and nice looking

I bought four of these at my local Sam's store. Allow about an hour to assemble the first unit. Subsequent units should go quicker. It would be good to have a helper when first starting the assembly to keep the upright pieces from falling over. Once you get it started it goes really fast. The hardest part is putting the plastic protectors in the ends of the uprights. Design is solid and they look great in my business' shipping room. These shelves look good enough to be used as furniture in a kids bedroom.
