Easy to install

I recommend this 5 shelf storage rack to anyone looking for a fairly sturdy and versatile storage solution. It's excellent for storage in your closet, garage, workshop, or any room in the house. I do recommend picking it up in store if you can to avoid any damage during shipment. Assembly can take around 30 minutes. It's pretty well built and a great value for the price.

This unit isn’t as sturdy and as well built as the 2 other units I purchased that were like this. This unit is held together in the middle by 4 very small plastic shims. The upper portion can easily disengage from the bottom by moving the unit. Poor design.

To heavy

My son and I spent over an hour trying to assemble this thing! It should be easy but it wasn’t. I think some of our pieces were a little bent because the support beams really didn’t want to fit in the holes and we had to wrench and fight to get them hammered into place. Also, once the unit is up, it isn’t sturdy. Meaning that you can wiggle it back and forth and watch the whole frame twist. Again, we may have gotten one that is damaged. I think it will be better once I weigh down the bottom shelves with heavy items but still a little disappointed in this purchase.

I spent 2 hours trying to assemble one set of shelves, and I managed to get just one shelf in place (and it wasn't even seated properly). The rest of the shelf parts didn't want to sit in the holes properly or not at all. Those 2 hours accomplished a lot of noise, a lot of swearing, and an incomplete shelf. The gap on the rivets is too small to fit nicely in the leg holes and absolutely need to be hammered down to work at all, but good luck getting them in those holes in the first place. Some parts would even knock themselves loose as I used mallet as directed. After 2 hours I gave up for the night. Thanks for wasting my time with this trash.

Very heavy duty

I purchased the older version of these shelves several years ago and was extremely pleased with them. So, when I needed some additional shelves, I headed to Sam's for some more. I'm very disappointed with what I came home with. These are poor quality, and assembly is a challenge. Not nearly worth the $90 a piece I paid for them. I will return the unopened box.

The reviews led me to believe these shelves would be a great bang for my buck. They’re not. The directions were difficult to understand, the box says Armadillo and not Members Mark, the support racks Do NOT stay in place, no matter how much I tap them. They will do (I bought 2) and I will likely keep them for a while but I don’t recommend them. I was able to bend the very top front rack with my own body weight and I am 155 lbs! I got on top of the second to last shelf to tap the other racks in place and I heard the shelf cracking! Whaaaaat? Frustrating to put together also…

Sturdy
