This has one of the thinnest particle board shelves I've seen on this style shelving. I wanted to put some excess pantry items on it, but no way this will hold a shelf of canned goods, or a case of water. This is now only holding TP, paper towels, napkins, trash bags, that sort of large light weight stuff.

I would NOT recommend it, weighs 97 lbs can barely get out of car. After reading bad reviews I'm taking back. Luckily FedEx was making delivery and was able to get it back in suv. He said wow that is real heavy. I'm 67 female, it's going back and buy another of lighter weight chrome 4 shelf, easy to assemble as I bought it same time, was 37#s and carried it in. Good luck, read reviews.

I spent 2 hours trying to assemble one set of shelves, and I managed to get just one shelf in place (and it wasn't even seated properly). The rest of the shelf parts didn't want to sit in the holes properly or not at all. Those 2 hours accomplished a lot of noise, a lot of swearing, and an incomplete shelf. The gap on the rivets is too small to fit nicely in the leg holes and absolutely need to be hammered down to work at all, but good luck getting them in those holes in the first place. Some parts would even knock themselves loose as I used mallet as directed. After 2 hours I gave up for the night. Thanks for wasting my time with this trash.

This has GOT TO BE the best heavy duty garage shelf system in the under $100 price range. I bought two and just attempted to purchase 3 more - only to discover that they were temporarily out of stock. I am checking daily for a chance to buy several more. They exceeded my needs and expectations. And assembly was very straight forward.

I purchased the older version of these shelves several years ago and was extremely pleased with them. So, when I needed some additional shelves, I headed to Sam's for some more. I'm very disappointed with what I came home with. These are poor quality, and assembly is a challenge. Not nearly worth the $90 a piece I paid for them. I will return the unopened box.
