I was looking for an inexpensive solution to my garage storage needs and this unit fit the bill very nicely. All I needed for tools was a rubber mallet to firmly lock the pieces together. I would have given it 5 stars but for the rather flimsy plastic connectors that hold the upper and lower parts together. It holds quite firm which is good, but you will want to move the unit, once assembled, by the bottom half of the unit. I'd be worried that if you pull or push from the upper half it might pull apart at the connectors. however if you aren't moving it once it is assembled and loaded, it should be more than adequate, especially for the price. It is a very good deal.. The metal parts are all heavier gauge than many other metal shelving units and those plastic ones on the market...I also like that the shelves lock down the same way many higher price units do it. Overall I would highly recommend this storage. One note... I used the 27 gallon plastic bins that you can buy at many of the big box hardware stores and membership warehouses, and found that I really only could use four of the five shelves. Not a complaint just an observation. I simply put the extra shelf and connecting metal pieces along the bottom shelf so that I could easily find everything it if I modified my shelving arrangements.

These shelves are eonderful. We love that they are adjustable. We made some anywhere from 2-5 shelves high based upon our needs. We bought 4 for our garage, but will be returning for 2 more. 1 more for the garage and one for my laundry room. Easy to put together, very sturdy so far and my garage is so much cleaner and organized.

This unit is made a lot cheaper than ones I got few years ago. I had trouble with several of the poles not going into slots correctly, had to hammer some of them bc they came bent!! I called the manufacturer to complain and they would not replace product! I hope I do not have to take apart to move it bc I bet it won’t go back together right! So dissatisfied.

The shelves were good quality sturdy, and they will hold a ton of stuff. The only issue I had with them is when you have to put the two vertical supports together they come apart easily. I would think some kind of longer plastic or metal connector would hold the two together Better.

These shelving units are heavy duty, with a solid smooth shelf. Assembly is a little tricky for one person, and some of the rivets don’t slide into place as easily as they should. The manual says a light tap might be required, but I had to hammer on a few of them with a rubber mallet to get them to go into position, slightly deforming the shelf rail edge. But once assembled, these are very sturdy and will hold a lot of weight.

Very sturdy and stable. I was able to put it together, on my own, in less than an hour. I replaced 2 very weak and wobbly plastic shelving units that nearly collapsed from the weight and poor fit and design of the shelves. This one holds all of that and more without a problem.

Great shelves ! Easy to put together, and the wood is now black instead of light brown. Looks great with the grey metal. Very sharp looking. Deep, to hold plenty of material. I have purchased SEVERAL for my basement work atea, as well as the garage and shed. Fair price too !!

Great shelf. Easy to put together however there were no instructions. Just take a a few minutes to look at all the pieces and you will see how it goes together. Recommend 2 people as it's a bit awkward at first, but once you get the first shelf made its pretty easy from there. This is a great shelf for the price. May buy another one.

Easy to assemble...need two people....the connection for top and bottom should be bigger or longer as it seems hard to keep the two together. Should be made out of same material as the side posts not plastic. It will work for what I want it for plus I bought a cover for it. Nice.

This was purchased for garage storage. The metal appears to be strong enough. A bit of a bother putting together. The pieces are very wiggly while connecting together and hard to handle. Better with two people. Major flaw is the plastic piece used to connect the two parts together for stacking. The piece of plastic is to short and pops out easily. I'm worried about weight on them and the storage rack is wiggled or bumped into. This may cause the connection to pop out and the rack collapses. I believe this is very possible. So if you have this or thinking of purchasing, keep this in mind. I don't think I would recommend this product.
