Well built and solid. Better value, price, and quality than same brand and size shelf found at home depot. I will be buying more for sure! Just don't panic-buy-them-out and leave the rest of us with nothing.

Have bought these in the past, but this shelving unit is a new design. Paint color doesn't match, metal is much thinner and more flimsy, the insert that holds the top and the bottom together is cheap plastic, and the keyhole slots are much harder to use. Even if you could get over the fact that the paint colors are different, the rails aren't interchangble between the previous versions either. Meaning my business now has to keep the parts seperated and remember what parts go to what shelves when we try to reconfigure our layout. I really wish a design could either be left alone OR clearly marked so that people don't think it's the same. I feel like Sam's club was deliberately trying to dupe customers with a cheaper product (cheaper for them, not for the customer unfortunately).

We previous bought 2 of these units and were happy enough with them that we bought 3 more for our shed. The are 4 feet wide and 2 feet deep...so plan accordingly. You can stack them as this picture shows , or you can not stack them which gives you an 8 foot workbench like thing. You have to be careful how you apply the mallet to push the rails into the verticals' slots. I find that using a long piece of flat stock thin enough to slide inside the verticals and hammer the flat stock to drive the rails into the slots is MUCH better Obviously once driven in fully you remove the flat stock. Also place the bottom shelf in as soon as possible, this helps with putting the other shelves. Careful with the shelves, don't hammer them in as they are a pressboard material and you will break off the corners (not a big deal if you do though....the sturdiness of the shelves is not dependant on the corners). When fully assembled these are very sturdy and hold a lot of weight.

Great shelf. Same type shelves as you can buy from Lowes or Hone Depot but much better price. The only negative to these shelves is where they join together at the middle shelf; its not very solid and makes it less sturdy. I installed simple straight brackets on mine to tie them together better and its now sturdy, but they should have come designed that way I think. Simple after purchase fix but necessary.

Great product! Sturdy and stong enough to hold most residential storage items. Clean looking in shiny black color. It looks smaller in the box but once its set up, looks prerty big. Its fairly easy to assemble alone, but easier and fastest when you have additional hand. At most 30 minutes assembly time by 1 person

The box is heavy, so they are not flimsy… but if I’m holding 1 piece, it feels light, that’s funny… they do not look cheap, but they do NOT look heavy duty. I only use for lights items, my trailer bike hitch rack sits at the top. I bought 1 set for the garage. about 1 year later I bought another…

The shelf steel is fairly sting but the thin particle board sheets for the shelves are junk. If you are putting anything heavy on them they will not last. I would not buy again or recommend this for anything, garage, kitchen, storage or cubbard. Not sure what it's best suited for but I don't like it.

We were very happy to find this quality of shelving at Sam's Club. Easy to put together and holds plenty of weight. I fastened the top of uprights to wall to prevent movement. Otherwise it could move a little . For home or office, this is very nice.

The product is very durable and good quality. It was a lot wider than I was expecting, so it did not work for the area I intended it for. A really nice feature about it was that I didn't have to build it as one shelving unit, so I actually split it into two separate units. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase and would buy another for our garage!
