[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had seen the Gillette SkinGuard Razor Handle and Blade Refill in the stores previously, but had not tried it/them prior to receiving for review. I find the SkinGuard Razor Blade Refill to be the most comfortable blade I have used to date. It feels as if it is virtually impossible to cut oneself shaving with this blade. On the flip side, I find that, because of its only 2 steel blades, compared to the 5 steel blades of my regular Gillette Fusion blade refill, it does sometimes require more "passes" in order to accomplish the same shave -- which is something I personally don't really mind. I would both buy and recommend this product.

Tried to see if I could get a skin cut but the razor is designed in such a way that it is difficult to even scratch your skin. Highly recommend it for people who want to look sharp and have a clean cut shave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not like giving bad reviews but in this one deserves it. After receiving the 4 pack of razors i let my beard grow for 5 days and then used one. The shave was horrible. After applying shaving cream i used one of the 4 razors. It pulled my hair and left stubble everywhere and gave me razor burn. Even after a second shave i still didn't have a clean face. Thinking that maybe I let the hair grow too much I then wait three days and used a second razor with the same results. By this time I was completely discouraged but decided to give these razors one more chance so i let my beard grow just one day and then used the 3rd of 4 razors. The results were basically the same with slightly less stubble than the previous two. Needless to say I did not sue the fourth razor. I suppose that it is possible that the blades had a defect during manufacture but who knows. I had not heard of the Gillette CustomPlus3 system before this test but I can say that i would not recommend this product nor would i buy it. The only redeeming quality is that the handles were designed very well and fit comfortably in the hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the new Gillette Skinguard Razor to shave every day for 10 days, I find it shaves closely without pulling or catching on stubble and tracks the contours of my face without irritating tender cheek skin. It moves smoothly no matter which way you turn it to get every stray whisker. My morning shave lasts longer too as it seems to glide over the skin and push it down so the whiskers stand up higher for a closer cut. The blade has held up so well that I have just replaced it with a new blade, which is every bit as good as the one that came with the razor.

I found that it pulled at my skin as opposed to being smooth and effortless, as I had anticipated it would be. I tried using the blade for a few days but ultimately, I did not care for how it felt on my skin and the closeness of the shave it gave me. The razor itself was fantastic but I will be purchasing a different style of blades to replace this one with. I would not recommend this blade to family and friends.

I'd been through Braun razors (great til they drop or break) and Bump Fighter (hard to find) Schick ST (good, just too light to control well) and both of the big mail orders. Five blades is just too much for skin that is sensitive. Thanks for going back to 2. This razor plus Cremo allows me to shave with a blade every day. The trimmer on the back is a great addition. A little pricey, but these seem to hold up well so far, a month in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVE the gentle and Complete hair removal and smooth results! These blades have made shaving less annoying and there is no Rash. The Blades glide over the skin and completely shave the hair off, I have coarse facial hair and these plow right through.

I have used all of your blades over the years and while this one is THE MOST COMFORTABLE for my sensitive skin, the shave isn't quite as close as your other blades. Nevertheless, I cannot give up the comfort so I am continuing on with Skinguard. Please take the fragrance OUT of the Pure shave cream. Thanks.

My face is very sensitive and have tried NUMEROUS different types/styles of razors and my face always felt like it was on fire. I just bought the Skinguard one and tried it. It was THE BEST RAZOR I have EVER used!! My face doesn't feel like it is on fire and there was ZERO tug/pull. I will definitely tell all of my buddies about this razor.
