[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette SkinGuard Razor wasn't enough to handle my stubble. I tend to have very coarse beard stubble and with this razor I was unable to get a smooth shave. I have used many other Gillette razors and have had success. This was the first time using the Gillette Skin Guard and I more than likely won't be purchasing this razor again for myself. However I have two preteens that I would purchase them for as a starter razor as it was light weight and easy to use. I wouldn't recommend this razor for someone with coarse beard stubble but I would recommend it for a first time user or someone with finer beard hair.

My only small complaint is that similar to the Fusion Blades, the overall size of the blade relative to my face seems large. However, I experienced zero tugging or pulling of the hairs and the blades were so sharp that I never even felt them cut the hairs. It was amazing. Even better, the next day I had no signs of razor burn or irritation. A few days later I saw these blades when I was in an Art of Shaving location and I bought myself another set of cartridges.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While it does work as a skin guard, the Gillette SkinGuard Razor left as much hair as it shaved. At first I thought it was just the first shaving, but continuous shavings in a 2 week period had to be redone with another razor. The only plus for this razor was it did not pull at the hairs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blades have the strips to protect your skin and the blades are sharp enough to give you a close shave. They are just as easy to change as other razors and in my opinion, they seem to last longer than other blades. I have only used 2 blades since I received the razor almost 2 weeks ago and I probably could've got more shaves out of the first one but I wanted to make sure each blade is going to be as good as the other blades and they work great in protecting the skin while giving you a close shave each time. I would recommend these blades to anyone with sensitive skin.

Where other products might have cheap shaver heads this product will give you a close shave that you want. If this is what you want than I recommend this product for you. I didn't know there was a sample product for this razor. I might this razor again it all depends on what you look for in a razor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette SkinGuard Razor works incredibly well! You can hardly feel the razor as it glides completely effortlessly over my skin and hairs, while lubricating before and after the blades in order to protect sensitive skin and prevent any irritations and razor bumps. I love how close of a shave I get with this razor! After using this razor there is no stubble at all left behind, and I don't have to worry about double checking the hard to shave areas, such as under my nose and around the chin area, as the swiveling razor head is very easy to maneuver. Using this razor leaves me with baby soft and smooth skin, no irritations whatsoever. I highly recommend this razor! I received a complimentary sample for testing purposes, in return for my honest opinion.

I tried this and when I opened it was surprised to see the design only had two blades but it had high reviews so I tried anyways. I wound up with several nicks (I’ve been shaving for 30+ years and haven’t had a nick since teen days of disposable razors). It was absolutely not a close shave and very uncomfortable shave. I will never use these blades again!

I have been using it for about a year as I have sensitive skin, but I don't like the fact it doesn't give a close shave. It takes several "passes" to have a decent shave, so I end up with some irritation. I will try Pro Glide Shield looking for a clean shave and less "passes". If this doesn't work, I may try another brand.

He used it daily for 1 week and the razor bumps/ingrown hairs were minimized. Tremendously. He loves this razor and will continue to use it.
