[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the close shave I got with the Gillette SkinGuard razor. The handle was easy to hold onto without it slipping while I was using it. The only thing I did not like about the razor was the wide frame around the blades. It prevented me from doing a close trim around my beard, because it was hard to judge exactly where the blades were.

I've only used it a few times since my facial hair doesnt grow super fast so I dont know how many times you can use it before it becomes dull, but I'm assuming it will last just as long as Gillettes other blades. For people with sensitive skin I say go for it.

The razor worked very well for the first several days. Never had a nick or a cut like I do with other Gillette products. The shave was similarly close to other Gillette products. Skin guard sharpness lasted half as long as the others I have used. I have been shaving since the age of 14. I discovered SkinGuard over one year ago. That means that for 62 years I was constantly irritated on my face, cut, bled and you name it! I use old fashioned shaving soap and a brush and now, at last, the final factor in handling a tough beard.

My face is very sensitive and have tried NUMEROUS different types/styles of razors and my face always felt like it was on fire. I just bought the Skinguard one and tried it. It was THE BEST RAZOR I have EVER used!! My face doesn't feel like it is on fire and there was ZERO tug/pull. I will definitely tell all of my buddies about this razor. I bought this a week ago at a Walgreens, and I have to say I love it! I needed a quick shave before going to work, and it did the job very well. I love how it is extremely easy to clean compared to the Fusion cartridges (it seems there is a small section on each side that collects hair and is impossible to clean because there is plastic behind it, boxing in the hair), and it's even easier to clean than my Gillette FatBoy DE razor. It also seems to be very effective for manscaping. My only issue with it (not an issue with the cartridge itself) is that it should come with a Proglide handle. I like to use the Gillette Slide with my DE and it seems that the Proglide comes with a feature that sort-of automatically does this. I bought the cheapest Proglide I could find just for the handle. It's possible to do this with the default Skinguard handle, but if I'm going to be lazy when shaving, I want to be LAZY. Also, despite clearly being marketed towards a certain demographic, I'm Caucasian and it works just fine on my beard, even with a bit of growth. I will definitely be buying more of these, although I'll probably be keeping my FatBoy in case I run into a situation where I can't find more cartridges.

They gave me a good, close shave and I didn't end up with any nicks, razor burn, or ingrown hairs. A definite win in my book!

I've used Gillette's blades for years, and have never had an issue. I bought a four pack of these blades to try them out, and received really bad razor bumps after two days. I continued to use them for a week, though the bumps have gotten worse. I had to go back to a traditional five blade razor.

There was no redness after shave so I am really happy with the Gillette Skinguard Blade and I would recommend it to others.
