I found that it was more sensitive on my face but that I had to go over parts of my face that had already been shaved since it didn't give a close enough shave. Otherwise it is a great razor that worked very nicely while being gentle on the skin.

However, after using the Gillette SkinGuard Blade for about a month - I love it. It isn't as close a shave as a 5 bladed Gillette razor, but the glidablity and ease of shaving is effortless. The shape and gripping of the handle really helps to keep it from slipping in your hand even if your hands are covered in soap! Its compact but has some weight to it! It is a very sturdy and durable handle! I can't wait to keep this razor a part of my daily life!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette SkinGuard Blade has proven to be a great razor blade in not only giving me a close shave, but also preventing the common bumps and irritation associated with sensitive skin. I was nervous that it would not be able to be gentle, without giving up its effectiveness of a close shave, but it's proven to not be the case. Anyone with sensitive skin should feel confident buying this razor.

I have been using Gillette razors since I was 10 years old and have sensitive skin. I was very excited to see the new product and purchased it immediately. Unfortunately it does not look up to the advertisement. It does not shave closely and has in fact irritated my neck and chin. I’ve been using it now for two weeks and I’m already on my second blade. I do not have extremely course hair and was surprised by my shave. Hopefully this product will improve with customer reviews. Unless of course I was in fortunate to receive faulty product.

I use Gillette mach 3 but it leaves my skin irritated and I have to use after shave or a moisturizer but I was surprised how smooth SkinGuard Razor is and it did not leave my skin irritated. The handle has good grip and good surface area to hold the razor.

But after getting a full smooth shave with it on my face, I decided to go ahead and give it a go on my head as well. I was still getting a smooth shave after doing my full head as well. I plan to give it another go and see if I can get at least one more shave out of it. Cartridges usually only last me a shave or two so I am curious as to how well this one will last.

There is also a Precision Trimmer for sideburns. People who have very sensitive skin need to definitely give this a try. It is so smooth on the skin. Forget about Skin irritation or razor bumps.
