I have been shaving since the age of 14. I discovered SkinGuard over one year ago. That means that for 62 years I was constantly irritated on my face, cut, bled and you name it! I use old fashioned shaving soap and a brush and now, at last, the final factor in handling a tough beard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This razor had a great feel, heft, and maneuverability. It was one of the best shaves I've had in a long time. The index finger place is properly placed so that it doesn't eject the blades when shaving. However, when placed on the counter a few days, then picked up, the plastic guard strip came detached from the razor blade head. The counter was not sticky either. Not sure how that happened. I was unable to use that blade again.

This works very smooth and it's great for sensitive skin like mine. I often get rashes with any other razor I had just given up on razors but now that I tried this one I can definately say I will buy more for the rest of my life. Frankly, it was better than I was expecting. I had low expectations seeing as how it's only two blades in the same frame as the 5 blade Fusion. However, it performed admirably. I normally shave with a double edge safety razor and while this definitely wasn't as close or precise, it shaved closer than I was expecting and left me with very little if any, irritation. Having the blades further apart really did help and I didn't feel the normal tug. If it was free or as cheap as using a double edge razor, I might consider using this on a more permanent basis, especially when I have a beard and am only shaving my neck and cheeks. However, the price point will probably keep this from being my regular razor. But if you struggle with razor burn, want something a little less aggressive than a double edge, and don't mind spending the money on it, then this is your razor.

I get pretty bad razor burn and irritated skin from a number of different blades, these gave the smoothest and closest shave I've ever had. Perfect if you're tired of razor burn.

I have been using Gillette blades all my life and always been excited to try their new blades up to yesterday that I tried the SkinGuard Razor. What a disappointment! I had to go over some areas over and over and I still could not get as close shave as I usually get with Fusion blades.

I am able to get very close shave and no irritation. These blades are advanced. They are sharp, will give you a clean, smooth shave. They also gentle to touch so need to worry about cutting yourself. The skin guard reduces irritation and redness. Say goodbye to razor bumps. I highly recommend these blades.
