I was not aware that Gilette skinguard razer and refill are available. It is better than my two blades razer and goes on smooth. the only reason I did not give 4 or more was my refills were missing from package. I would definitely buy this again and I high recommend this to anyone who wants nonirritant and close shaving.

I always experience bad irritation from shaving but this new design barely bothered my skin at all! Very smooth, close shave, comfortable to hold, good feel to it, not too light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The razor blades are convenient. The cooling strip definitely makes your face feel cool, at least until it wears out. I have found these blades have impressive durability as well, as they can be used continuously for quite a while before having to change blades (though some parts do wear out before the blades do). Eventually, the blades do seem to dull with repeated usage. The way they are designed allows for some give and mobility with the razor, which makes shaving along a curved part of one's face or neck easier. Overall, these blades are good quality.

You know...razors are very expensive these days, and when you find something that works, as this does, you want to be able to justify buying it. I found this razor to be the most comfortable shave I have experienced with a refillable. This is probably due to the various lube strips that completely surround the blades. At first I thought, that because of these, it would not last as long as other choices because the lube strips would wear away. I have been using this one for over a month (every day) and I can state that it still has life left to it. It is probably also around the top 15% of the closets shaves that i have gotten from a product of this type. When I first noticed this product on the shelves and took a good look at it, I noticed that it only had two blades. I thought that, because of this, it could not perform as well as the 5, 6, or 7 blade shavers..but it does and it even mostly out-performs them. This is where my value point comes and is what cost this product one star. The little voice inside me screams that it should cost less because of it has many less blades than the other leading choices out there. If you are someone who needs a solution to sensitive skin shaving, someone who does not have and issue with cost, or someone who just want to use a product that performs admirably, then this could be your shaver. I will still probably continue to use this shaver, but it sure would be nice if it were less expensive than the shavers that have more blades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I felt like the Gillette SkinGuard Blade was definitely different than other blades I have tried in the past. Starting with the size, I liked that it was larger and I thought it covered more area while shaving. I also felt like I experienced less tugging and it shaved more hairs with one swipe due to the fact that the blades were spaced further apart than most razors. The razor also provided double lubrication strips that provided a smooth shave that I felt greatly helped reduce irritation that I experience with most razors I have tried. I would recommend this razor to anyone who is having trouble with irritation or bumps from shaving and I will definitely purchase in the future.

The shave is phenomenal as it glides so smoothly And gently across my face. Forget about shaving bumps,this is so gentle to my Skin that I had absolutely none. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked that the Gillette SkinGuard Blade did not seem to have so many closely-positioned blades that would get "jammed" with hairs. These blades are spaced far enough apart to provide for easy rinsing. This razor also has the precision trimming blade on the back/top side of the razor cartridge (ever since this precision blade became a thing many Machs ago, I miss it when it's not there). 'The added "skinguard" and lubricating strips all complement the well-balanced ('weighted') ergonomic handle to achieve a clean, simple shave for sensitive skin.

I was really hoping this product would work for me. I am a white male with very thick and coarse hair. It barely cuts the hair! I end up having to go over the same areas multiple times and have to push hard. It’s great on skin because it barely cuts!
