Gets extremely hot on the outside after use.

This is a nice air fryer but the outside gets very hot that if you touch it after it turns off you could easily burn yourself. For that reason we returned it. We had another air fryer before this one and excessive heat was not a problem. This air fryer oven did cook well. There controls were relatively easy to use. It does have a light that has a dedicated switch for turning it on or off. The sound button to notify when food is ready was so soft you can barely hear it. If you have small children or pets in the house I would avoid this air fryer to prevent injuries.

Not user friendly

After unpacking this, there are two labels that leave a sticky residue on the stainless steel when you take them off. This takes some work to get rid of it, I ended up using Goof Off to clean it off. I'm sure there are labels these days that come off easily without leaving residue that stains the metal. The instructions are very poor. They list all the features but don't really explain how to use them. There is no step by step guide for each function. For instance, there is a preheat feature but it doesn't explain how to use it. It doesn't go from preheat to cooking, you actually have to turn the knob to do that and there's no indication when the preheat is complete. If there is, there's nothing in the instructions about it. A rectangle on the screen flashes during preheat but it doesn't indicate how long or when it's done. You can turn the audio on or off but there is no indication on the screen whether it is on or off. There is a very faint sound when you press the button but you don't know if you've turned it on or off. This thing gets really hot on the outside and you have to be very careful after you've opened the doors to get food out. I cooked some chicken thighs using the air fry feature, it turned out OK but took longer than I expected. Again, there is no indication in the instructions on how long to cook food, you have to rely on generic recipes. I'm very disappointed in this purchase and will be returning it.

Loose door

When i removed it from the box the left door was very loose, would not close, so was going to return it, but was able to bend something into place for now. The big main dial is not that great and not sure how long it will last, so for now not having a lot of hope for it, but hope it lasts long enough to get my money's worth.

Not convinced yet.

Nice concept...BUT. Much you should know walking in. First, everyone complains about the industrial decals they used--goo gone is required, nothing else will work. Next, there is a learning curve coming from a "basket" style air fryer. The "basket" style have a handle and the internal basket is inside a container--pull it out and set on a hot pad to flip your wings...not the chefman. No handle to remove the basket, no where to set it without leaving a mess. The outside doesn't just get hot--IT GETS BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN HOT! Pull far away from walls and cabinets--DO NOT touch or get near it...instant emergency room burns. The basket and rack are top rack dishwasher safe...the crumb tray and cookie sheet are not--bummer. Don't let all the "features" sell you--they are presets, that need adjusting anyway. It's an air fryer, broiler, toaster, and oven--FOUR functions. Yes, dehydrate and keep warm are there, but that's just a low temp oven setting. Replacement basket and cookie sheet--good luck. Parchment paper does NOT belong in ANY air fryer--they will catch on fire...it's how air fryers work--ALL OF THEM. I'm switching from two basket air fryers--couldn't get all my chicken wings into one...this should just fit what I need, but not looking forward to scraping stuck bits from the not non-stick mesh basket. Oiled potatoes did stick. Some say to soak in hot water--air fryers are supposed to be time savers; how's soaking saving me time. I bought because it was on sale, took up less counter space then my two air fryers, and takes up much less space in the dishwasher. The directions say to place the air fryer basket on the rack--so why does the basket have feet? It "sprays" grease from your food all over. I think I'll try placing it on a foil lined rack--still leaving space between them. Use foil on the crumb tray as well. This is NOT a time of money saver compared to the "basket" style air fryers. Don't know if I'm going to return it yet. How are you supposed to shake food when it's stuck to the wire mesh and it's not very deep?

Louder than my previous toaster oven

I wish the manual would recommend which of the three rack levels are appropriate for the various function choices. Is TOAST best on top rack? middle rack? bottom rack? Is BAKE best on the bottom rack? I shouldn't have to guess. I just started using it today. I'll see if I can figure the above out on my own.

Helpful sticker-removing instructions Hard-learned

I was going to ditto the remark and the November 2025 review referring to the stuck-on heavy-duty stickers that were seemingly unremovable. I was gonna take a picture of the mess they left behind with the ugly, unremovable sticker glue just waiting for crumbs in grease to collect. I sprayed some 'Clean Freak' to clean up before snapping the pictures, and the stuff came right off. So apparently they come off with soap and water. I hope this helps someone before they unnecessarily spend so much time on it, as I did.

Great value and quality.

Very pleased with this product. It's solid and well built and heats quickly. Outside does get warm but not bad. For the price it was a great buy. It looks good and I've done pizza, bagels and pretzel bites so far and been pleased. Lights up nicely and great display.

Burns are imminent, but a decent air fryer

The air fryer works well and is nice to look at, but I regret buying it. The edges of the doors get so hot that is actually pretty hard not to burn your hands when you open the doors. It's especially difficult for kids who are just learning how to cook simple things for themselves and don't take as much care as adults. If I had known this I wouldn't have bought it. I had a sur la table before that died and hoped it would be a great replacement. The search continues

Air Fryer Oven has been a great addition

It’s fantastic to have an additional oven to be able to cook multiple things at different temps at the same time now. The only issues I’ve found so far is that I can’t seem to select if I want it to preheat or not, and also the proof setting doesn’t go lower than 100° and I really need it to be closer to 80°.

It is pretty convenient to use, however...

Manual is not explicit enough. No picture indicating where exactly the crumb catcher is placed, above the bottom heating element or below. Also, nowhere is there an explanation of why, when broiling, the bottom AND top heating elements turn on. So best guess is put whatever you're broiling closest to the top, but then why does the bottom one come on? I'm still pretty satisfied with my purchase, just need to figure out other things. I was hoping for an online user manual that I could download, not the same one that came with oven.
