Makes me wonder about their legitimacy...used this tape to guard wall along a chair rail and it bled through in numerous spots and looks just plain awful. Now I have hours of touch-up work ahead of me. I will never use this 3M painters tape again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ScotchBlue Original painters tape works great at taping of things I don't want painted. It leaves a nice line after using and I don't have to worry about it leaving residue or sticking to the surface.

This tape does NOT work at all! We followed all instructions. We taped crown molding before painting a ceiling. After taking the tape off, paint literally bled through nearly EVERY inch of the crown molding....AND WE CAN'T GET IT OFF!!! It's so bad, we are considering ditching our crown molding! It is AWFUL! We would have been better off edging without it! Good thing I now have 2 1/2 rolls of useless blue tape! We DO NOT RECOMMEND this product and will NOT be using it again!

I work for a school district and when I'm setting up a new school or building, I stick a piece of painters tape on any of the furniture that is damaged. The blue tape stands out and is very easy to find when walking a vendor through each room to show them the damages I found. Once we have done the walk-thru I relocate that piece of tape to the underside of the furniture so I can find it when the replacement furniture arrives. It makes it so much easier doing it that way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to polyurethane the wood under the front door before winter set in. The inside floor is wood. Taped off the entranceway, used the blue to cover the front door with plastic as it had to be wide open. The tape did not take any finish off the front, left the tape on the wood floor for a week before the 2nd coat and it came off without a problem except where a little polyurethane had dribbled. That took a little work, but it was on me, not the tape.

However, with having Blue Tape around the house, I have come to use it almost daily for another use: labeling food containers for the fridge and freezer. It applies in any size, is easy to write on, peels off easily afterwards, plus doesn't come off in the dishwasher if you forget about it! LOVE IT for this use and have recommended it to friends! Just thought I'd let you know. Thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it to paint a 3 ft. stripe on my wall and maybe I didn't press down hard enough or something like that, but I didn't have straight lines but rather dots of paint above and below the stripe.

When I was starting to put cinder blocks around my deck for planting herbs I used it to show my grandson where to place the blocks. It is easy to use and easy to remove which is another reason I like this tape.
