When I was starting to put cinder blocks around my deck for planting herbs I used it to show my grandson where to place the blocks. It is easy to use and easy to remove which is another reason I like this tape.

This tape was used to mask off the cieling and along the cupboards. Put on one night painted pulled, or tried to pull it off, the next morning. With the tape came the cieling paint and the finish from our cupboards. So now I can paint my ceiling. Can't just touch up the bad spots as they stand out like crazy. I don't know what to do about the cupboards.... If you don't want extra work and cost to your painting project don't use this tape!

I recently used ScotchBlue Painters tape while painting the inside of my home. It works as it was designed, on multiple surfaces and did not stick to the wood, tile, brick or even already painted surfaces. I would highly recommend this tape for any painting undertaking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years, I have painted many houses before flipping the homes (long before it was a thing to do), and always used different masking tapes with questionable results. I tried ScotchBlue about 5 years ago and will never use anything else from then on. It goes on easily (and I sometimes need to reposition the tape if I am being sloppy---and it sticks well); If I delay between subsequent coats of paint and the tape is left on a few days, it still removes easily and cleanly when I want. It holds tight on the edges and leaves a clean line between colors for detail decoration painting. Thank you for a wonderful product. (I use it for all sorts of other craft and packaging projects too with superb results).

ScotchBlue saved so much time with little roller oops for this first timer. A little slip here and there on to the tape was easily removed when the tape was simply pulled away. I used this painter's tape to freshen up my closet trimming and it worked perfectly. I love the fact that it is easy to apply and easy to remove without leaving pieces of tape or removing paint from your wall. I will purchase the ScotchBlue painter's tape for another project and will recommend to family and friends.

It works incredibly well for it's intended purpose of having clean lines for painting. But it is useful for so many other things. Labeling, taping things together, outlining where furniture goes in a room, use when sawing to keep the board from chipping, etc. You'll find plenty of other uses for it, too.

I'm repainting all the rooms in my house. The tape worked well on my wood molding. I got mixed results when I used it on paint. When I removed the tape from a freshly painted flat ceiling paint everything went fine (paint cured about a week; tape stayed on about 1 week). But when I put the tape on eggshell wall paint the paint came off in 20+ spots. This was a small coat closet. (Paint cured about 3 weeks; tape stayed on about 18 hours. I painted the walls before I did the ceiling.) The tape that pulled off the paint was from a different roll; hopefully this was a fluke. I bought a 3 pack and still have 6 rooms to tape and paint.
