Scotch blue painters tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The purpose of this blue tape is to paint a straight edge for any color changes. The tape easily adheres to a wall and you can remove it without leaving adhesive or removing paint under tape. The bright blue colored tape is very visable and wide enough to cover brush strokes.

Utter failure.

I think a lot. I usually use a more expensive brand (there’s only one - you could probably figure it out), but since I was doing such a huge area I thought I would try Scotch Blue. Not a great decision given I was painting baseboards on my newly refinished hardwood floors - paint seat under the edge of the tape despite the fact that I applied it appropriately. Should have spent the money for the green tape.

Best Painter's Tape Out There

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used exclusively Scotch Blue Painter's Tape because it does the job with no fuss. It leaves the other "green with envy" with the crisp lines and no bleeding. I highly recommend that if you are painting and need crisp edges and value for your dollar, buy Scotch Painter's tapes!

Pulled paint off of walls

This product pulled the paint off the walls and allowed paint to seep through. With all the touching up I had to do afterwards, I would have been better off not using it all. I have had much more success with other painters tape. I would not recommend this product.

Will not stick

I have been using 3M painter's tape for decades and have never had much of an issue. I have a roll now that refuses to stick to anything. I spend an hour taping a room and come back 30 minutes to pain and half the tape is hanging loose. Did they change the manufacturing process or glue? I have used this roll in different locations with different types of paint and it sucks. It just won't stay where I put it.

Let's Paint!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best product to use to create a straight line while painting. It does take some time to get a level line (and sometimes to stick to bumpy/rough surfaces) and once done, easy to take down.

Best product avaiable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried many brands of tapes to use when painting and Scotch Blue Painter's Tape is the best by far. It holds on any surface very well and is very easy to remove. I use it on a lot of woodworking projects that make. I would recommend this product for everyone.

This product has multiple uses.

The temporary, but positive sealing of ScotchBlue Painter's tape allows for a variety of uses. Aside from masking painted surfaces, I have used this tape to temporarily seal containers, post signage and secure/clamp parts prior to connecting with permanent adhesives or fasteners. It holds fast, but removes easily without any evidence of adhesive residue or marring of the surface to which it was attached.

An indispensable toolbox product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free roll of ScotchBlue Painters tape and asked to evaluate the product. I did so happily since that particular tape has been an indispensable part of my toolbox for many years. Apart from it's obvious use for protecting trim, ceilings and floor during painting (which I use frequently), it has many other applications for a do-it-your-yourselfer or handy man. One of the main uses I have found is the 1.5-inch width is perfect for marking studs. I find the stud with my stud finder and mark the wall with the tape, mark the next stud similarly and use a level to mark both pieces of tape, drill a hole or use a hanger and have a perfectly level hung picture or shelf. The tape width makes it easy to find the center of a stud. No pencil mark on the wall and no near misses when seeking to fasten to a stud. The feature that makes the tape so useful is that it sticks to nearly anything and removes cleanly.

Great stuff, I use it for all my masking tape need

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this stuff, it beats the heck out of the old masking tape I grew up with! I use this for all my temporary tape need's. I just used this on a go-kart I repainted and it came out perfect! I use all around house and shop.
