A Good Paint Job Requires Good Painters Tape!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though taping out the molding and baseboards takes time (especially when you're itching to get a coat of Ethereal Blue on the walls), it's well worth protecting those surfaces with Scotch Blue Painters Tape. I tend to be a bit messy and it would be a nightmare to have to scrape off dried paint after-the-fact. With Scotch Blue Painters Tape: The tape tears easily off the roll Doesn't damage the walls, woodwork, trim mirrors, or glass Is flexible to fit around corners without tearing Creates smooth lines that paint doesn't seep through Leaves no tacky residue on surfaces Overall, Scotch Blue Painters Tape is a must-have product whether you're painting walls, window frames, or art canvas borders. I never start a paint project without it.

Impressed with this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have, of course, used ScotchBlue when painting in my home but I never thought about using it for any thing other than that. My son was working on a mulit-media art project for school. He asked me if we had any of the "blue tape". I told him that we did and gave it to him. He began to put it on his art work with me freaking out and thinking he had ruined his project. He assured me it would be fine. When he finished, he removed the tape and to my amazement there was no trace that it had been on there. Everything he had covered was still just as it was before.

Tape functions well for many uses beyond painting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this and similar tapes for whatever purposes arise, not just for painting. It is a good general-purpose tape for temporarily holding things in place or for temporary repairs. I reviewed it several years ago and my opinion has not changed.

Great for Crafts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I make "Pirate Rum" bottles as gifts for my Disney loving friends. Scotch Blue painters tape works so well to mask off the areas on the bottles as I paint them. It allows me to be creative, without the mess!

Multiple uses for this tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love using itwhen I paint, but also use it to temporarily stick notes on walls and doors. It removes with no residue or damage to the paint on the wall. Use in both and home and at work. Works really great.

Various uses beyond simply painting

We have used the tape as directed for lining out ares for painting and it works very well to maintain separation from painted and non-painted surfaces. I have spent time working with my brother at Black River Center for Learning at Carlsbad, NM where he manages a retreat center. Beyond the projects involving paint and repairs, he prepares meals for the groups coming there for a break from their lifestyle and always has some food left over that needs to be stored. So it is also good for marking various food containers that need to be refrigerated or frozen. The tape holds tight enough to stay, yet releases without causing harm to a container or even plastic baggies and the color contrast helps with seeing the markings of contents. This allows us to know the contents and date of food item without having to open the container each time to see. Other uses would be simply to hold an item in location on a painted wall until you find an alternative substance or solution is found to hold it on a more permanent basis. We used it on a variety of surfaces from painted drywall, bathroom tile, swimming pool tiles and even glass windows.

ScotchBlue is an essential tool for painter's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ScotchBlue is the perfect solution for painting trim when you don't want to get paint on the adjacent wall or to protect the floor. it sticks to most surfaces and is easy to remove. It can be used for creating specific paint designs like adding stripes. ScotchBlue can also protect surfaces when staining wood. Recommend always having a roll in your painter's toolbox. ScotchBlue was provided free by 3M for evaluation.

I use this tape as a professional artist

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this tape to block or mask out various shapes on my canvas so that I may paint around an area of the painting. The tape prevents bleeding though to the blocked area. I really appreciate having a great tape to use.

Had 2 rolls of off brand tape and 1 roll scotch blue. Off brand worked great, the scotch on the other hand didn't want to come off and when i did get it up, i see paint got underneath and messed up the wood. Also it took big chunks of paint with it off the wall. Im not happy about it and wont buy it again.

No leaks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a part time painter, I have a foot in both the professional and do it yourself markets. I find this product to be user friendly and have never had paint seep beneath the seal on trim projects I have used it on. It is a tape that even the most novice home owner can use with confidence.
