Used this to protect the woodwork and moldings as I undertook my first major painting project. This stuff made ME look good! No mess, straight lines, and clean up was a breeze. Wish I had this years ago when I thought masking tape would do the trick...and it didn't.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While waiting for my free sample of the Scotch Blue Original multi-surface painter’s tape, I was dreaming of all the wonderful painting projects that I wanted to do. While I waited I decided to look up other ways that I can use my new multi-surface painter’s tape and I discovered that there are A LOT of uses. The first thing I used my tape for was my refrigerator. I discovered that the light stays on when the door is closed. I decided to put some tape over the refrigerator light switch so my fruits and veggies can get the proper rest they need before being devoured by my hungry family. Next stop for this multi-surface painter’s tape is my wall to help me outline my new command center before I start putting holes in the wall and then off to the front door to help with a paint job touch up so I won’t get paint on the glass.

When walking thru the door, he said "Oh you got the good stuff !" Commented back "Of course it's 3M and probably made in america." I bought the 6 pack of this tape in preparation for painting the entire interior of my home. I have seen the ads and was sold on the product. I watched the how to videos on this website and installed the tape as instructed. I spent most of a whole day preparing my kitchen for painting. After painting the kitchen and waiting a day for the paint to dry, I was excited about pulling off the tape and enjoying my new paint color. When I pulled off the tape, I was extremelly dissapointed to find that the paint had leaked under the tape and all over the edges of my kitchen cabinets and onto my wood ceiling. I am so frustrated and upset at all my hard work now having to be cleaned up, scraped and sanded to obtain the finished look I was expecting. I would not recommend this tape and do not plan to use it for the rest of my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have, of course, used ScotchBlue when painting in my home but I never thought about using it for any thing other than that. My son was working on a mulit-media art project for school. He asked me if we had any of the "blue tape". I told him that we did and gave it to him. He began to put it on his art work with me freaking out and thinking he had ruined his project. He assured me it would be fine. When he finished, he removed the tape and to my amazement there was no trace that it had been on there. Everything he had covered was still just as it was before.

The application for my purpose really did not work because the 24" of plastic got in the way of what I was painting and also I was outside and the wind kept blowing the plastic on my painting surface. I can see this project really being effective painting the molding on a ceiling protecting the wall or the molding on the floor protecting the carpet so I really believe for those purposes inside it is an excellent product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had a cast on my arm and leg. In order to bathe I needed to cover them with a plastic bag and wrap with tape. Since your tape is designed for wet paint the water did not effect it which keep my cast dry. Also the tape did not rip up the plastic bag which allowed me to reuse them. Thank you for your product. It made getting better a little easier.

It's a great tool for hanging items for short term use and mark items long term or temporarily. I like to use Painter's Tape for hanging "chore charts" for my children and lightweight holiday items that will only be up for a week or two. I also use it to mark electronic cables or other items like water bottles or paint containers. It's easy to tear off a piece and write on so I know the computer plug from the monitor plug. The best part is the tape removes easily without leaving any residue. I received a sample for my review.
